I got beat up by an adult when I was a kid and he admitted everything to the police, so I assumed he got charged. But I never received any pay out. Is there anything I can do 15 years later?

So I'm upgrading my motherboard and cooler and I ended up buying the asus prime b550m-a and an assassin spirit 120 vision argb. It doesn't look like it's going to fit, because the brackets aren't I'm the right orientations. Is there anything I can do or am I doomed?
