Hey Everyone, been wanting to build a PC since 2019 and finally in a situation to build this spring. Been watching the MicroCenter 12900K, ASUS Z790-V Prime AX DDR5 Mobo, 32 GB DDR5 6000 MHz RAM combo for $400. I plan to pair it with a RTX 5070 Ti (whenever I can actually get my hands on one).

Compared to MicroCenter's other bundles from both AMD and Intel, it looks like this is the overall best value for performance for gaming and productivity with DDR5 RAM. The biggest caveat in my eyes is that the 12900K has a huge power draw that I'd likely cap at 215W once I get it set up. I'd likely pair it with a Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE Air Cooler since I don't care to deal with an AIO

Hi Everyone,

I have a 2019 15.6" Spectre that's gotten bogged down with files and various apps through my years at college and now that I'm out I'd like to see if I can alleviate some of the bloat my system is experiencing without breaking it. I've read up on various inputs here about a full factory reset usually breaking some number of drivers/audio/hp command center, but I've seen some promising input about Windows Fresh Start that basically lets you reinstall a factory image of windows 10 with the (updated?) preinstalled apps from HP (yes I know that includes McAfee and all the other crap).

Does anyone have experience or knowledge on what the best path to essentially clea

Hey everyone,

As title says, I plan to upgrade my 2019 Spectre 15.6" and I've seen a lot of different comments about the rubber feet having to be removed to make upgrades and that they give people trouble when reapplying or that some people just have to superglue them back on???

I saw that HP used to send them out to customers upon request for free, but I spoke with someone from HP Parts over chat and was quoted they would cost me $54.42 USD + shipping but offered me a discount down to $43 + shipping. That was a hard no from me, and it appears there aren't a lot of places to buy the correct replacement feet, so at this point, I come to this community for help, what should I do when I upgr

Hey everyone,

I'm planning to build my own PC soon but I'm going to demo this on my laptop to make sure it works: I use Google Drive for Desktop as my personal cloud auto-backup system and have read about how you can use it to "Stream Files" in a Cloud accessible folder in Windows rather than just having a mirror clone of a file that still takes up space on your system.

I have mine set up to "Stream Files" and have the virtual "G Drive" that is only cloud accessible in my Windows File explorer, but when I select specific folders to back up to drive, it still keeps them physically saved on my system while mirroring what happens to them in Google Drive on the cloud.

Basically, I'm asking

As title says, just installed Dec Update and it seems that Google finally fixed the swipe up navigation stall bug after almost 8 months.

-Battery menu is updated to reflect new range of use since last fully charged.

-Scrolling and switching feels faster as well (may be placebo).

-Search bar in app drawer now has the same appearance and function as the search bar from the bottom of the home screen.

Please list any other changes you've noticed below.
