It's been a few months since I flew my drone. I decided to load the fly app to check for updates and only got to see the DJI icon. I then went to the DJI site and downloaded the sdk, assuming it was the latest version. It updated the app and I still saw the same screen.

Next, I deleted the app fully and did it again. Same thing.

I tried deleting cache. That also didn't help. I don't know what else I can do. I need help

I'm using autopylot. I see that it shows to reveiw Notams. But I have no idea what I'm doing and the stuff looks like a new language. And there's tons of it. I recognise that important ones show up on the map. At least in regards to restrictions on an area. I suppose it's also something that shows when I request a LAANC of my own. I don't recall any of this being in the TRUST certificate.

I do recognize much of it probably has to do with a particular runway or flight paths. How the heck do I even sort the important stuff to my own small radius or at least brain matter?

My drone is the DJI mini 3 non-pro version.

I had it registerrd before learning I didn't need to or should without RID broadcasting, as a recreational flier. But I intend to fly with extra weight so went ahead and bought the battery plus instead of unregistering. And well, the extra flight time is appreciated.

Today I went out and it flew fine. But at some point I noticed a remote ID error popping up. And it seemed to display it while I was turning on or off the drone. It didn't effect flight however. And quickly disappears.

Is this something that I should be concerned with? And if so, how do I go about fixing it?

I bought a DJI mini 3 ( non-pro ) a few weeks ago. I registered it via FAA. And love the drone. But I've recently been reading that all registered drones need to have RID , which I assumed my drone had but has been basically stripped of now needing a bigger battery. ( Because of the weight )

I'm a recreational flyer and I'm flying sub 249. With my TRUST. My drone doesn't need to be registered.

And now I'm suddenly a commercial pilot needing to purchase and add weight via battery to be in compliance simply because said registration?

I'm lost. Is this a glitch in FAA ? DJI ?

It seems confusing.

I decided to fly in a park today. I got set up and went to take off and it turned off because a propeller hitting the grass. Or I assumed anyhow. I then noticed there wasn't just one check box for liability, but one asking if I had authorization and another I believe to unlock what I think may have been the remote id. Then it requested my phone number to send a code.

So is this something new added to the dji app or just the particular area? Another area like this one needed LAANC ( yes, I requested LAANC on both occasions) but the DJI app only requested I checkmark liability. The same was true to uncontrolled airspaces

I'm sure this is being asked a lot already.

Today I opened the b4ufly intending to see height regulations in a specific area only to find a message and link to 4 other apps.

Which of these are the better option?

Which of these resemble B4ufly app the most?

Why are there now 4 others?

What happened to Aloft?

And is the actual b4fly app of no use now?

I recognise that technically , the mini 3 has spotlight mode used for quickshots. And can be used to align and position the drone. You just can't record those movements. Why?

The whole "no obstacle avoidance" is a bunk excuse in my mind. Do quickshots have it? Of course not. ( at least that I'm aware of )

Instead, I would have to guess it's because it's not a static option and invokes tracking. But gosh, it seems like a complete miss not to include it.

Perhaps there could be a way to force a more static targeting to prevent hooligans from trying to use the active tracking.

Maybe I'm totally off my gord. Or just missed something useful ( I'm still new to DJI drones )

I have been trained in photography to sharpen reduced images even after sharpening the higher quality image.

Would this be a necessity in video as well? Or is this actually handled in the initial resizing? It's not even that I've noticed a need for it since I'm still keeping it relativity large ( 1920 x 1080 ) or not reducing it at all.

I'm just curious if there would be a benefit of doing such.

I've just bought a mini 3 and have been excited to try it out. I'm not particularly new to drones as I had a cheaper one before. So I went through a few tutorials and I guess setup is straight forward. Charge everything, set it on a flat surface click than hold button to activate the drone and remote. Quite simple , compared to my old drone, which didn't even connect to my phone. Lifted it off slowly and allowed it to hover. 3 seconds later, without touching anything, it flips and shuts off and the screen mentions checking motor and other warnings. I did this a few times with the same result.

Then I found the auto takeoff . I thought it was going to shoot way high before it hovered. ( Last
