I’m 25, started a new job making 80k (accountant) and want to make sure I’m good for retirement. I have 50k in retirement accounts. (Most in a Roth, and some in a traditional IRA from my last employers 401k plan, and I will be contributing to my current employer’s 401k plan. For now, I was gonna just contribute to the match which is 5% and then max out my personal Roth IRA. Technically, this isn’t 15% of my total income which is 120k (me and my wife’s income combined) is this enough? Everything is so expensive nowadays it pisses me off. We are homeowners with a hefty rainy day fund and no debt other than mortgage. I plan to always have some sort of a job even after retirement. (I can’t just

Anyone familiar with compass group as a field accountant? I’ve been at this job for almost a year and honestly can’t keep up with the work. I’m always chasing down UMs and DMs for information they don’t know, and I get assigned like 150-200 recs per 2 weeks that honestly some I don’t mind except for the ones I have to reach out to the field. I’m thinking of switching jobs, but don’t want to end up in same situation I’m in. Been looking at cost accounting and manufacturing accounting roles as well as government. They seem not so volume driven, less chaos, and more routine stuff. Will this solve my issue, or is it me? Thanks for your help.

I need new places on where to buy guns. For a while I’ve been chilling at gunbroker but lately their crap has been through the roof. Can’t even get a good deal anymore. Like right now I’m wanting the M9A4 and all over gunbroker I can’t find anything less than 1100. Like WTF.

I’ve used gun deals, but not much better there either. And guns.com isn’t the best either. Where do you guys get your guns.

So I recently bought my first home and now I’m trying to figure out if a safe is too heavy for the second floor. The safes I been looking at are just entry lvl cheap safes ranging from 300-400lbs. There’s a small closet in one of the bedrooms that I can put all my guns and stuff in, but it’s on the second floor. The house was built in 2006 so it’s def older. Refuse to put it in garage, and nowhere to put it on first floor.

Would something like 400lbs be fine on the second floor, or would I have to reinforce the floor? I don’t want to get into all that so if it’s going to require stuff like that, might just get some sort of a gun cage or something lighter. Need input as internet has yielded

Me and wife want a house. Budget is 415k absolute max! We have 70k of DP money, plus 10k for closing costs. (Although I’m adamant we don’t pay closing due to how much these boomers are cashing in selling the house) so we technically have 80k if we get into contract where seller pays closing. Our state also has an up to 15k DP assistance grant that we qualify for. We are debt free, 700+ scores, and collectively make 100k gross. We also have 25k in reserves should things go south after we get a mortgage. We want a 30 yr fixed conventional. Interest will be 6-7% in my area. What you think? 415k too much, or just about the right price? That will be roughly 2500-2600 per month taxes and insurance

So I want a woods/bear gun and decided to go with 10mm. Now I’m debating what gun to get. I’ve narrowed it down to either the sig xten or the M&P performance center 10mm. Both seem popular and have features I like. But Ive been doing some research on forums and apparently they have been struggling with hot loads like buffalo bore and such. Seems like mag issues for the xten and a spring issue for the M&P. I noticed this was yrs ago so I’m wondering did they iron out those problems now? Which gun handles hot loads the best, and are there new problems I should be watchful of for both guns? Thanks

Hey guys, I’m looking for a bear gun and I’ve decided to go with 10mm due to the high capacity, capabilities with bear defense and a semi auto platform. As far as guns go, I’ve narrowed it down to either the sig xten, or the M&P performance center 10mm. Both are popular options and both have benefits/features I like. But I’ve been going through forums and such and it seems like when they both came out, they had issues with hardcast ammo and hot loads. Some say they wouldn’t feed, some say they have no problems. Are these problems ironed out now since it was years ago or is it still something to consider, and if so which gun runs hot loads more reliably.

Thinking about getting a larger caliber pistol for when I go out in deep woods. Encounters with bears, tho not extremely frequent, isn’t something that’s unheard of in my area. I’m no where near grizzlies. Mostly black bears. My first idea was to get a .357mag with the gun being the chiappa rhino (only revolver that’s appealing to me) but I’ve been reading that 357 somehow isn’t recommended and that you should either go 10mm that’s just as powerful but more rounds, or go bigger on the caliber since you’re already on a revolver platform with the 357. Question is what do you guys think? I’ve heard all the rage about 10mm, but never shot it before. I’ve shot a few revolver rounds like 44mag, an

I have a 2012 f-150 XL 5.0 truck that won’t start. It cranks for about three seconds, but then doesn’t start. Battery is about 4 yrs old. It’s been roughly 30-50 degrees the past month. What’s weird is I was able to drive it around for a few trips early today and it ran perfectly fine. Got back to it a few hours later and it won’t start. Honestly thankful it happened now because I went on a 2 day trip with the truck and got back home the other day. Ran perfectly fine. No codes or anything. Bad battery? Bad pump? Just want confirmation since I’m not able to do anything about it at the moment. Thanks!

I have a 2012 F150 5.0L that’s due for some maintenance. Front and rear differential fluid change as well as transfer case fluid change. Transmission fluid also needs to be changed. Mechanic quoted me $880 for everything including labor, taxes, etc. Is this reasonable? I been going to them for a while, but just felt like $880 for fluid changes is wild.

Hey guys. Currently saving up to buy an M1A. Looking at the scout squad. Main purpose is a battle rifle/bug out gun. Also for fun since I love the platform for 3 main reasons. 1. Saw it in black hawk down 2. Such a sexy gun. 3. It’s probably one of the most controversial guns known to man. And that leads me into my main topic here. I hear ppl praise and hate the gun. For those who hate the gun, they will give their reasons for it however I am slightly confused for some of the reasons and honestly feel like these reasons are either blown out of proportion, completely wrong, or may be correct, but may not be such a bad thing. Either way this made me go into a research spiral on the gun compare
