Around 10:04 in the video, Limus claims that self destruction is wrong, that it's not okay, that handling your trauma by hurting others or yourself is a bad thing. And he says that the show doesn't explicitly say it, and therefore it's a huge red flag.

Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but Hazbin is a cartoon, a type of narrative media that can be grouped into other narrative genres like theatre or literature. These focus on exploring human experience and stories. They are not, as far as I can tell, philosophical essays on how to live life. Hazbin Hotel is not, unless I missed something, an adaptation of Aristotle's Nichomeachan Ethics. It is not a re-colorization of the Ten Commandments.

I agree with many that the weak point of the series is basically lore - many things are left unexplained or are not explained in enough details to understand. But I think very quickly this series' focuses on emotions, visuals and building character through antics and voice acting. I noticed that even if I don't understand exactly what's happening, the direction of the show - the shots, the rhythm, the way characters react - draws me in. In fact, there is something almost Lynchian in this way, or even like a music video where the fine details don't matter as much as the overall experience.

If anyone knows cosmic horror like Thomas Ligotti, then stories like his too don't rely on coherence b

Blasphemous inspiration sources

Religious Art (Historical)

Hi! I'm looking for the sources of inspiration from Blasphemous' art. I have the digital artbook but I want to learn more. Anyone here knows good books about the specific type of Christianity and Christian art that inspired Blasphemous?

I want to get more in-depth into creating wavetables. By messing around with some presets I've realized how important they are and how radically they can change a sound. Does anyone have good tutorials about how to make useful wavetables?

I was raised in a fairly progressive environment, so as someone who's born a male I always heard the world doesn't owe me anything, that I should keep my head down, not ask for anything (because that's entitlement) and everything that happens to me doesn't matter because women have it worse.

I spent my youth taking care of the women around me, listening to their problems, helping them with love, introducing them to new people and so forth.

But that was years ago and nowadays I just don't care. Taylor Swift seems so whiny. Boohoohoo heartbreak. The world doesn't owe you sex. Oh, your boyfriend dumped you? Why should I care?

I care about SA, women of color experiencing racism, single moms,

My plushie arrived safely + their customer service was good regarding an Uzi plush pre-order that got delayed.

I did see some negative reviews about their Murder Drones apparel, like people receiving the wrong size. Is it common? The MD jackets look great

I'm using this definition, due to the nature of the insititution. I believe it's mainstream enough:

What strikes me is the scare quotes around 'deficits'. Why is it wrong to say someone has 'deficits'?

I read Kaczynski's writings alongside some of his influences. I see a clear line leading from Marx and even Heidegger to his primitivist ideas. Similar critiques are rising up today against the hi-tech industry and the crypto industry. Kaczynski, like Marx, did not simply write but attempted to change the world, although his methods was definitely more problematic.

Why isn't he considered a major figure? His critique of society is totalizing. In fact, I found his writings much more scathing and deep than anything else I encountered among critical theorists. I think the only writer who gave me a similar shock was Marx, and I think it's because they both deal with material, lived reality. The

A fairly close friend of mine killed himself about 5 days ago. The thing is, I'm not surprised. I didn't see any signs from him. But when I look at the macro-level, I'm very unsurprised. He's another level 1 autistics like me, and apparently he's also depressed.

People like us have a very low survival rate. At this point, I'm too cynical to believe the world can be inclusive of us. And that part kills me the most. I'm extremely sad I lost him. I feel terrible knowing we won't ever play board games again, and that his unique ethusiasm and passion for the hobby is gone from my life forever. All those big events we used to go to together, now I won't do it with him. I won't ever be able to mes
