In October I had a status seizure while driving to work, then 2 weeks ago I had another while showering at home. This last one landed me in the cardiac emergency center for 48 hours, and the poetical confusion dragged on for another week.

It turns out, 20 years ago, my Cajun father gave the neurologist as inaccurate of a medical history as i think might be possible. Ive likely had other C/T seizures that were just not observed due to negligence, and neither my parents or I understood what absence seizures or focal seizures were.

It feels like all of my independence and so much of my energy and ability to care for myself have suddenly been ripped out from under me, and im tried not to let
