At the end of Ep 6, we saw the Night Herons put down a lot of chips on an individual line the West coast. This was criticized by Ben and Adam in the episode, as well as viewers in the Nebula thread. It was hinted in the Layover that it was part of their endgame strategy. I haven't calculated exact station counts, chips, or train frequencies, but I'd like to speculate about what happens next.

- Note: excluding films with very few ratings, Anime/Bollywood/Documentaries (which all tend to have massively inflated ratings on IMDB) as well as the movie "Oficina do Diabo" which isn't broadly distributed seems to have disingenuous reviews. What is even going on? Is everyone paying insane premiums? We’re now shopping for a new policy but seems everywhere is expensive.

I can buy an RTX 3090 (MSI Gaming Trio for $700 CAD tax included) or an RTX 5070-ti (Gigabyte WindForce SFF for $1100 CAD tax included). I’ve dabbled a tiny bit with local LLMs and would like to potentially run one on the new card, but also use the card for 1440p gaming (not concurrently with LLM stuff).

Overall which would you recommend? Will the 5070-ti even be able to run a smaller model quickly? I wouldn’t mind saving the $400. Power draw isn’t a huge concern as I don’t plan to be using the GPU more for either use for more than an hour or two per day on average.

Sorry for the possibly dumb questions. I’m very new to this.

Last night I got a rock chip right in the middle of my windshield on the driver’s side. It’s small, but the location is very distracting.

I am looking at getting it repaired today, and/or replaced later in the week.

I have comprehensive insurance on my vehicle but my deductible is $1000 with TD Insurance in Ontario. Glass repairs have zero deductible but not replacements.

A couple glass shops have given me quotes for an OEE replacement and sensor calibrations at ~$1000 plus tax. One of the shops will pay part of my deductible so that my out of pocket expense is 850 if I need to get it replaced.
