Edit: Solved below

Trying to play Total War Warhammer II from the Epic Games Store. Installed it 3 different times through the Heroic Launcher and Lutris>Epic Launcher. I tried launching it by the above 2 methods, as well as a standalone Lutris app and by adding it to Steam.

It installs and plays (though it crashes in tutorial campaign) though all methods. However, in none of them can TWWH2 access the internet. And in none of them can I access any DLC. I assume that the 2 issues are related. Epic store doesn't give options to install the DLC. I'm guessing it's because it's not handled through the launcher and that I need network access to install stuff.

Wine apps obviously have ne

Hey all. Returning player here looking for an overhaul. I am looking for a new experience that retains some of the feeling of Warband--especially the high-risk tactical combat. Since most of the discussions I am finding are 5-7 years old, I was wondering if anyone could suggest pro's and cons for Brytenwalda or 1257 in their current iteration (or even which of the many versions of each I should try). Or if there is something else out there I should be looking at.

Was disappointed by Prophecy of Pendor after reading all the hype. (Partly because the battles were stat-check-y rather than difficult, partly the insane grind, partly because I never caught a hint of any of the story or lore in 6-

What I am looking for is something like Towns/Gnomoria that isn't unfinished abandonware. A settlement game with management and micro, units as individuals with their own skills and needs. Combat and goals/progression systems to keep things interesting.

Banished is kinda its own resource management thing, and lacks combat and goals.

I found a great little-known game on Steam called Kingdoms and Castles, which I will probably be picking up, but it is pretty casual and lacking in depth at the moment.

There have been SO. MANY. games in this genre in recent years, and pretty much all of them are either dead or early access "mi

Hi modders! I am returning to Skyrim for the first time in years, and am hoping someone could offer me advice. I have been digging through hours of guides and Nexus pages and getting a bit drowned in info.

When last I adventured, I was getting low but playable framerates (~30 fps) on LE with the official HD texturepack and low-settings Realvision 279b. I have the same CPU/GPU now, but I have switched from a 1440x900 monitor to full 1080p. Trying to run the same setup results in maybe only 15% lower average FPS, but the minimum FPS now drops into the unplayable range (20-25).

I understand vanilla SSE offers some performance improvements. If I am looking for something similar to my old setup

This is my 8.4 update/tweak to the infamous Balori Mpen Cho. The new item changes solve two of the biggest weaknesses of this build, namely mana and CDR.

What it is: Mage Cho is an ambush predator with one-shot burst, off-tank survivability, and incredible snowball potential. Playstyle is a hybrid between Annie and Garen. If that sounds disgusting, it's because it is. Moderately more difficult than either, but also more powerful. Works best in the top lane, but may be viable mid and jung if you are adventurous.

Why it works: Cho has higher AP scalings than most midlane mage

It's the end of the season--is there any downside to starting ranked play now as opposed to waiting for preseason? For instance, I've heard that if you end a season in bronze, it's harder to get out of bronze with that account than with a reroll. Not sure how accurate that is.

I have around 500 normal SR games under my belt, and am about to hit 20 champs (I prefer to learn them as I buy, and buy what I want, not just pick up a ton of cheap ones all at once). I'll almost certainly place into bronze, but I think I can hit silver relatively quickly, judging by who I get matched with in randoms, and by my performance when queuing with my friends in silver.

**EDIT: Thank you for the responses!

Hi all. I just tried AP mid for the first time today, and I honestly didn't expect it to be that good. I have enjoyed Tahm top for a while, building Titanic Hydra into full tank. I was blown away by how much damage he does building AP. His ratios are actually surprisingly decent. I spanked the enemy cassiopeia so hard early on that she sat under tower the first 10+ minutes of the game, and allowed me to push her in hard. Normally I use Q just for utility: stuns or grabbing minions to devour. Having actual damage on it was really satisfying.

Anybody have some suggestions for AP build order? The top guide for it on mobafire seems a bit suspect, as it is built around stormraiders. That seems a

I'm a new player on NA. I spend most of my time in Summoner's Rift, but last night tried out ARAM for the first time. The bot spam was incredible. One game, I was the only human on my team. I'm pretty sure there was only one human on the enemy team as well.

I've read that this is a common problem. From the volume of bots I saw in such a short time, I believe it.

How many wins, approximately, do I need to get a high enough MMR to be out of this shitfest? Is it like 20? Or more like 100? I mean, it's useful for testing new champs in a low-pressure setting, but damn. I wasn't expecting it to be this bad.

Any rough ideas would be appreciated. I might just have to ignore this gamemode entirel

Hi r/MouseReview!

I am looking for a new wireless mouse for gaming. I have large hands (8in/20cm) but am used to using fingertip grip on a smaller mouse. I mostly play World of Tanks and similar games, so I don't need tons of buttons. FPS is probably the closest genre. I've read a ton of reviews, but am having trouble finding what I want. I'm not too familiar with the industry. Wireless mice either seem to be cheap $20 crap or $100-150 flashy hardware.

What I don't need:

-Extremely high, or even adjustable DPI.

-Flashing lights, aesthetics like a Transformers reject

-tons of buttons. 3 is enough, a few more isn't a problem

What I DO need:

-Good polling rate (300-500 minimum?)

Am I nuts for considering buying the Panther 88 over the black Mutz on sale? I played both on rental, and didn't think much of the Mutz, but did surprisingly well in the 88. Maybe it was just that I had very different expectations for each when I played them for the first time.

The Panth 88 has better accuracy and gun handling. Despite the long aimtime, it seemed better than the Mutz at both snapshotting and sniping. And it has 300 more dpm. That's not a small issue. For that reason it also felt better under pressure in close quarters.

The Mutz has better depression and it's more mobile. But the Panther 88 just got a big buff to frontal gun depression, engine power, and track traverse. So

Hey all! I went down the French light line a while back solely for the ELC, but ended up purchasing the AMX 12t on a whim during a sale. Surprisingly, I ended up loving it. Devastating is not a word I would have expected to use to describe this tiny little tier 6, but it fits. The stealth and clip potential are amazing.

So here I am, dropping my grind for the Leo 1 to play French autoloaders instead. Never would have expected that.

My question for you autoloader lovers: Aside from the tier 10 BatChat, which autoloading tank from that line would you keep? Do you really love the 13-90 despite getting the same matchmaking as the Lorraine/Batchat AP? Is the 12t the peak of the line? I ha

Does anyone know how to change the sun's altitude while using Karyonix's Shaders Mod? I'm talking about both the image of the sun in the skybox and, more importantly, the angle at which the mod projects light rays from.

I've tried several different shaders, but they all seem to place the sun very low in the sky (perhaps around 45 degrees at noon). I'm assuming its a function of the mod itself, but I can't find a config option for the angle, and Google has failed me for the first time in recent memory.

I feel like I am constantly playing in midwinter. I understand why the mod would set the sun that low by default. It emphasizes the shadows, which are a key part of the shader's appeal. But

Hello all. I just started playing this mod, and was liking it a lot. Everything was going fine as I wandered the overworld. When I tp'd to the utopia dimension, however, my framerate started fluctuating wildly. The game was unplayable. I thought it was just the worldgen, but it didn't go away when I let it generate. My PC is decent (AMD quad-core, radeon 7770 card) and i've used heavy FTB modpacks before without issues.

On vanilla Minecraft/Optifine I get around 150 FPS. For this playthrough I was using Forge with Optifine, Orespawn, and a shader. Was getting stable 30 FPS in the overworld. I went back and removed the shaders mod, and tweaked optifine's chunk loading settings to help stabil

Hey Westies! Looking to join up for some platooning, maybe stronghold action. Never been part of a clan before. I'm a regular player, usually on several nights a week. I play a little of everything, but I specialize in artillery and recently in heavies. Currently grinding T29, am close to the T32; and GW Panther, but I probably won't go any farther down the German arty line. Have M4A3E8, T150 fully upgraded for strongholds.

Stats-wise, I'm nothing special, but I am improving (and doing so lot more quickly since hitting tier 7). Obligatory stat link. Like I said, I play a little of everything, and I'm looking to learn fr
