I’m so excited! :D
A quick rant to set the scene: We live in a tiny apartment in a big city. We have no dishwasher. And our fucking sink is seriously the size of one you would find in a fifth-wheel trailer (and not a nice expensive one, either). So you can imagine our sink gets full pretty fast. If I have a clean sink while I’m cooking I’m good about washing as I go. However, my husband and I are both guilty of letting things pile up for a day or two.
The sink becomes layers of different sizes of plates with silverware filling up the space around the edges. Cups and bottles on the little edge of counter top between the sink and wall. Bowls sometimes get stacked to the side, but often they get layered into th
When I figure something out and tell him about it, he acts like he knew the answer all along. Example: my Apple Music got stuck on shuffle after a software update. After dealing with it for a couple of days, I finally googled the problem and found a solution (which was not intuitive, btw). When he gets home from work I tell him about it and he’s like “oh, yeah.” Motherfucker I don’t believe for one second that you knew this.
He almost never gives me the benefit of the doubt. Do you think I’m the type of person who would be mean for no reason or is it possible that it’s a misunderstanding? We’ve been together for over eight years, why do you act like I’m out to get you? Stop jumpi
This only fits specific circumstances and doesn’t quite belong in this sub, but I wasn’t sure where else would be better.
If you use cat litter and buy the kind that comes in the rectangular prism hard plastic tub with the lid (think tidy cats), those bins make good moving boxes for fragile things.
I have a ton of breakable tchotchkes and wrapping them in news paper (or plastic shopping bags) inside the bins kept them all safe. They’re small enough that they won’t be overloaded. And you’ve already paid for them so they’re “free!”
The bins stack easily and have handles for easy transport. They’re the right size for kids to carry, too, so they could use them to pack toys or w/e.
I’m big
I loved my Teddy Ruxpin. In case you don’t know, this was an “animatronic” toy that had a cassette player built into the back of him, and his mouth would move as the tape played.
When I was growing up I had a ton of books that came with tapes. They were all children’s books, mostly Disney iirc. You’d pop the tape in and read along with the book. I wore my Teddy Ruxpin out. He was definitely a big part of the reason I love to read to this day. I think at the end of life he lost his lower jaw somehow. 😅 I swear it must have just fallen off due to overuse because I was not rough with him.
I was feeling nostalgic and googled it. There’s a new Teddy Ruxpin and he is not at all the same.
I want to know if people with foot fetishes like the smell of their own feet.
