My son is still nursing 3-4 times per day. I think at this point he is primarily nursing for comfort. I am going out of town for two nights and I am really nervous that he will not have enough breastmilk. He has never been very good about the bottle, but now my puny little pumped stash is expired. I have spoken with Medela 2x and had no success in getting my seal and suction issues resolved. I think that the PISA and I just are not made for each other.

If I could do it all over again I would have gotten the Spectra S2 from the beginning. If I could have pumped regularly it would have made my life a little easier since I was tied to my baby and not able to leave him for more than an hour fr

I made one of these from this tutorial right after my bub was born. I used it ALL THE TIME for tummy time, now it's in the bottom of his pack and play and I put it in his safe-zone. He likes to crash out on it when he's tired of tearing around playing.

You can find them on Etsy pre-made, but I had zero sewing experience when I started the project and it turned out perfect minus me doing the seam on the ruffle upside down (oh noooo).

Have a happy pregnancy, ladies. I hope to be back with you soonish (like in a year or two).

Someone in our 2k15 Summer Babies sub found this awesome app and started doing it when their son was born. Basically you take a clip every day of your baby and it mashes it into an awesome video.

I've been doing it since December and put videos we already had from September-December in. It's turning out amazing. They change so much day to day and do so many amazing little things that it's incredible to have the video to watch and remember moments.

Here is the link. It's free and on both iOS and android. They have a few examples- I don't really want to post mine because it is so personal. Good luck!!

EDIT Shit guys I'm sorry, it's $4.99 on iOS now as u/divertete1 pointed out to me. I

My son was born in September and I've had to figure out probably four different bills who are claiming we don't have insurance and are being sent to collections. Each one of these bills are for something that our OB office sent out with our name misspelled- like the ultrasound at the imaging center, two different labs, and the epidural. So keep tabs on everything and don't stress about it.

Edit: misspelling

I have the Oma+ breathing monitor that clips on the front of the diaper to wear at night when he's sleeping. But how do I use this in the winter when he's wearing footed PJ's and a sleep sack? Do I just go from the normal sleep sack to a heavy one and put just a diaper under it so he can wear it? Also when did you stop using it?

Thanks!

Hello! First I am so thankful for all of the positive comments and messages. It meant a lot to see all of the support from friends I have never met before- Thank you! Everything about my experience was positive, even the uncomfortable things. You are stronger than you think and you can do ALL of this, well beyond the laboring part.

Labor/Delivery

On 9/7 I had an emotional day. I cried all day, and when I wasn't crying I was sleeping. I felt avoidance towards eating and had a few BH's but nothing noticeable. Around 1am I was binge reading this sub and realized my stomach was getting quite a few painless BH's. I kind of, semi-not really paid attention and by 3 they felt like very minor perio

We are going to get our baby boy today! Had an extremely hormotional day yesterday- I cried all day (even over a SunTrust bank commercial) and drooled all over my pillow for hours. Contractions started minimally at 1am and progressed all night. We are admitted and waiting to see what hapens but baby is coming today!

I will write more later when I'm not contracting and using my teeny tiny phone keyboard. Just sending support to everyone and checking in!

Edit: guys. It was amazing. Everything about my labor/delivery/recovery has been a positive experience, even the toughest parts of labor and the exhaustion last night. I'm looking forward to writing my birth story and pp experience but overa

"Have you tried x y and z to induce labor yet? Are you even TRYING to go into labor?"

"Yes I've tried those and I've tried a, b, c too."

"Oh. Well he will come when he's ready! Just be patient!"

What the hell. Two minutes ago you were telling me to have sex while in a handstand and eating pineapple with sriracha. Now you're telling me he will come when he's ready? Make up your mind.

I see posts at least once a day of moms saying "I dont want to bother L&D or my clinician with this..."

If you have any reason to feel that something isn't right call your hospital or provider. It is important that you receive peace of mind and check to make sure everything is okay. You aren't bothering anyone by being proactive. Many women seem concerned with how they will look for worrying but in the end, who cares? Ultimately if you go in for a little worry and someone says hey, that's actually not normal... You will be relieved. Use your best judgment but please don't worry about a cranky nurse's perception of you. For all you know the most reassuring angel could be working in triag

I've been looking through the sub and there are TONS of great tips for training re: separation anxiety. Our 4 year old rescue Boston has been doing great with her SA training but has started regressing since we are about to have a baby. She has suddenly started banging and scratching her vari kennel until the screws loosen enough for the door to fall off and she can escape. She loves her crate and naps in there, eats in there regularly but when the door is closed she goes absolutely nuts. It has gotten to the point where she vomits/defecates out of stress and terror in the last few weeks. She never had an issue this severe and was doing wonderfully with training.

I was looking for some dea

Especially when it wakes me from my nap. I swear if my forced polite "It could still be 5-6 weeks you know!" doesn't elicit an appropriate response of not texting me to ask me where baby is, I'm going to just stop responding to everyone. I'm getting 5-6 texts a day asking where the baby is because my mom delivered both of her kids before 37 weeks. THANKS MOM. ;)

I've been craving chicken nuggets for WEEKS and have resisted. I've been so good. Eating all kinds of fruit and veggies, yogurt with almonds, spinach salads, brown rice.... bla bla bla. My husband tells me he is being held over an extra 4 hours tonight and I said okay I'm sad now, I'll give in and go pick some up. They messed up the sauce which is what I was really craving... You know how it is when you have your favorite sauce, right? I don't want their gross "Tangy BBQ" I want my Sweet n Sour! So now I ate all the food and it was less than the orgasmic "giving into a craving" feeling than I expected (because gross sauce) and now I'm pouty.

I'm too pregnant for these minor mistakes, McDon

Am I the only one? I need to finish one short paper, one project, and edit one other paper to be done with the semester and start my leave. I cannot for the life of me focus! I end up here... on parenting sites... anything but what I need to be doing. Anyone else struggling more than usual these days?
