bsky.appPost your hot takes in reaction to the trades involving Arraez, Kilian, and Ray (and more?) here.
I moderate a highly trafficed sports subreddit and it's not uncommon for a fan of another team to come in and just start spam reporting posts with "spam." The only way to report this to reddit is to go to the original post and re-report the post as "report abuse." You then get prompted on whether or not you want to block the poster who made the original post, not the report abuser.
It's such a weird convoluted way for the system to work, why wouldn't that be tucked into the report option when viewing from the mod queue? The report abuse has nothign to do with the original post and everything to do with the bad actor spamming the report button.
Additionally why can't I mute non-custom
By popular demand Hogs Out! flair has been added. So for all those times where Tarps Off doesn't cut it, feel free to Trou Down and Hog Out.
Go Giants.

In honor of today's dismantling of the Chicago White Sox, Saturdays will be Shitpost Saturdays until further notice.
We are going to maintain a focus on news, analysis, and reporting throughout the week, but felt the catharsis experienced today was well deserved.
Please keep in mind that while posts were largely unmoderated over the last 24 hours, racism, sexism etc will still be removed. (ie one of the two posts removed today were in regards to Posey needing to wear a helmet for a mental disability.)
Go Giants.
Wade Meckler made his first MLB start and appearance since 2023 tonight for the Angels. He went 2/3 with his first career HR and a walk. He hit his HR off of Jacob DeGrom. After tonight he has been worth 0.2 fWAR this season. That is 0.5 more than the -0.3 fWAR that Houser has been worth with his 5.50 FIP over 9 starts and 48 innings (so technically this was true when Meckler had 0 PA).
In 2023 Wade Meckler had a 39.1% K-rate, in spite of that he had an OBP of .328. Currently there are only two players on the 2026 Giants with an OBP higher than .328 with at least 50 PAs, Casey Schmitt and Luis Arraez.
That is all.
Holy shit this team is fucking awful. Have at it folks.
My buddy is in his work league finals. He's playing against the league commissioner. Going into Sunday Night football my friend had Burden and the Rams defense with his opponent having Jake Tonges. After the game my friend is up 134 to 131 and he benches the Rams defense guaranteeing he wins. The commissioner approaches him at work and tells him he *has* to start the Rams defense tonight because he's not allowed to not start a full lineup. The chance of losing by having the Rams to give up 35+ with no sacks and takeaways is very unlikely, but that's still an absolutely insane thing to ask from the commish, no?
I'm one of the weird few that has actually really been enjoying being an open seas doordasher. I'm at 92 sailing and have gotten somewhere around half of my total exp from doing Fremennik area Courier Task runs. The general method (thought not optimized in the video) is outlined in this Westham vid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HfYPcOv-Dws
The gist is that you pick up a task from Port A's notice board that wants you to pick up Cargo from Port B and bring it back to Port A. These tasks give significantly more experience and by teleporting to Port B and summoning your boat you're cutting off half the distance. For clarity I'll be calling these

Over the last week we've seen a ton of posts attempting to sell tickets, especially special deal tickets that are not sellable through ballpark ticketing apps (we had 10+ ticket posts over the holiday weekend alone). Unfortunately, the potential for users to be scammed with those type of sales without an intermediary means that we're making the decision to remove all ticket sale self-posts on the subreddit.
Ticket giveaways are still totally fine, though we'd encourage anyone giving away tickets to do some quick background checking as we always prefer to see giveaways going to active positive community members as opposed to those hoping to resell.
As always, open to community feedbac
We have seen a massive influx this season of mid-game and post-game text self-posts in this subreddit that are little more than

Text: Are we even a serious team?

Title: WHO GOT ME?
Text: WILMER GOT ME
During pivotal points of a game, excitement or frustration can lead to people wanting to throw something into the void. Unfortunately, the reality of the situation is that the size of this sub means that if even 1/10 of the active sub participants during a game make a new self-post we end up with 50+ low effort content posts clogging up the front page of the subreddit.
We do have established rules regarding self-posting and removal of self-posts that are considered "
