I’m thinking about buying my first omnibus and I’m curious how other people decide when one is actually worth it.
Do you usually read the run first and then buy the omnibus because you already know you love it, or do you buy the omnibus as the way you’re going to read it for the first time?
In my case, I already read the full Snyder/Capullo Batman run. It was the first complete run I ever finished and I honestly loved it, so it feels like a good choice for my first omnibus.
At the same time, they’re pretty expensive, so I’m trying to make sure I’m not just buying it because I’m excited about comics and want my collection to grow.
Do you have any personal rule for this? Like waiting a

I know this is going to sound like terminal TikTok brainrot, but…
Can you recommend comics that are pure aura farming?
I’m talking about comics where you turn the page and immediately think, “holy shit, this guy is so unbelievably hard.”
Characters with insane presence. Ridiculous panel composition. Cold entrances. Silent confidence. Moments that make you stop reading for a second just because the page goes so hard.
Could be superheroes, manga-inspired, indie, horror, sci-fi… doesn’t matter. I just want comics that radiate aura.

I take sleep meds at night, so sometimes my memory gets kinda fuzzy, but I still like reading comics before bed.
Looking for stuff that’s fun, goofy, cool-looking, or just has characters with insane aura. Nothing where I need to remember 20 different plot threads or reread half the issue the next day because I forgot who betrayed who.
Could be DC or Marvel, old or new, solo runs, team books, miniseries, whatever. Just want comics that are easy to pick up, entertaining issue to issue, and make me go “that was sick” even if I barely remember the details tomorrow.
Big fights, weird villains, cosmic nonsense, funny banter, cool art, characters being dramatic for no reason, all welcome.

I just finished Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo’s Batman run through Endgame, and I really loved it.
I know the next part is the Gordon-as-Batman era, but honestly I’m not that interested in the premise right now. I might come back to it later, but I don’t feel like forcing myself through it just to keep reading chronologically.
I know Tom King is the next major writer after Snyder, but I’m a little hesitant because of how divided people seem to be on his run, especially with some of the character work and the Bruce/Selina stuff.
I’m considering jumping straight to James Tynion IV’s run instead. Would that be a good place to go next? Is there anything essential I’d really miss by skippin

I’ve been trying to find more short Marvel/DC stuff that isn’t always the same big obvious classics.
Looking for minis or short runs, preferably like 4–8 issues, that feel self-contained enough that I can just jump in and have a good time.
Doesn’t have to be some huge masterpiece or super serious prestige comic. I’m down for horror, cosmic stuff, dumb fun action, noir, monster shit, weird villains, random overlooked character minis, anything with a really specific vibe.
Main thing is I want something that feels fresh. Like maybe the art is crazy good, the premise is ridiculous but fully commits to it, or it’s just a fun little comic that has way more personality than it gets credit for

how do you manage boredom?

NSFWSeeking Empathy

Hey folks,

I’ve got a question that’s been bugging me for a while, and I figured this would be the place to ask.

Has anyone here dealt with using substances, specifically alcohol, as a way to cope with boredom? Like, not drinking to party or even to cope with sadness, but just because you feel so unstimulated and restless that it feels like something needs to happen? That if nothing interesting is going on, your brain starts almost clawing at the walls?

For me, alcohol kind of became that “thing” I reached for. Not out of sadness, not even out of habit—just out of pure boredom. And I’m finding it super hard to stop. It’s like I need a literal bouncer in my head to stop me from buying mor

Hey guys so, it’s my first time playing a monster hunter game and I was wondering, why should I kill a monster if I already got his armor set and weapon? I feel like it’s just pointless, haven’t finished the story tho.

Hey everyone, I’ve been on 90mg of Cymbalta and 36mg of Concerta (for ADHD), and whenever I miss a Cymbalta dose (just one day), everything feels unbearably slow and frustrating. I get irritated at the smallest things, feel overly sensitive like everything is hitting me way harder than it should, and on top of that, I get awful nausea.

What’s really messing with me is the thought that maybe this is just my own mind playing tricks on me rather than actual withdrawal. Can symptoms kick in that fast, or am I psyching myself out? Has anyone else experienced this? Would really appreciate any insight or shared experiences, especially from anyone who’s also on Concerta and Cymbalta together.

I have been smoking for 4 months, and I do it constantly, my problem is that I don't know when I can smoke again. If I keep smoking while I'm high, it's like I'm not smoking at all. Is it my resistance? Do I have to wait longer between my consumption? How frequently do you smoke?

So basically I ate some 400mg skittles edible, and i’m not feeling high, I ate them like 1:30 hours ago and i’m fine I guess, idk, I mean i don’t feel high and It is a high dose (i’m a daily consumer) so should I grab some more or what, I know the basic rule of edibles is not doing this but idk yall
