Best GL closer?

General Question

Hey all,

Been playing a lot more GL recently since it’s easier to make pokemon for that tier. I am currently in the 2100-2200 Elo range, which is a personal best for me. However, one issue I keep running into is I would build a nice shield advantage for my closer to come in, only for their last pokemon to be a hard counter. For example, earlier in the season, I had Talonflame as my closer with usually a 1-0 or 2-0 shield advantage, but I kept constantly running into Lanturn, which is possibly the only pokemon that can come back from that disadvantage. I switched to Shadow Alolan Sandslash as a closer because the Ice/Ground hits make it usually hit neutral on everything. Except now, I kept r

Hello,

I was just wondering when is a good time to send an update letter to schools? Since I have submitted my primary, I have continued scribing and amassed plenty more hours. I also started working with a homeless shelter for more volunteer experience.

In my primary, I stated that my second-authored publication was close to being reviewed, and so far, the publication is under official review. However, the abstract of the paper itself seems to be published online because a simple Google search of my name brings it up. Would this merit sending an update letter? It hasn't been one full month since my earliest secondaries were submitted, so I don't know if this is too soon or not.

Hello all,

I'm (somewhat) finishing up secondaries now for this cycle, so I would like some type of update to make sure I am going on the right path and not missing a school.

So far I have one DO II and one MD II waitlist, both received last month. This is kinda encouraging to receive any sort of interview this early, but I would like to see an MD II to make sure I am on the right track.

Major: Bioengineering (Going into 4th year)

Minors: Chemistry and Economics

ORM Pennsylvania Resident no significant ties elsewhere

MCAT: 511 (129/128/128/126) / 508 (130/126/127/125)

Yeah probably should not have taken it again, but nothing I can do about it now.

GPA: 3.60 cG

Hello all,

Hope the cycle is going well for all my fellow applicants! I was just wondering when most II’s are sent out? Like are July and August considered “early” II’s that a school prioritizes sending to or it’s just whatever?

Not ruling myself out or anything I expect a long cycle lol. Thanks!

Hello all,

I’m applying this cycle and have about another week or so till the 2 week mark for submitting secondaries. However, I recently amassed enough scribing hours to ask a physician for a letter of recommendation. I was just wondering if LOR’s could be submitted after turning in the secondary application because as of now all my LOR’s are from professors at school. Would I just have to check each individual school’s requirements?

Thank you in advance!

Hello all,

One of my professors asked me to wrote my own letter of recommendation that he would proofread and use as a base before changing it into his own format, but I am having trouble getting started with this. I don't really know what to focus on because I usually don't write my own letters. Does anyone have any experience with this? It isn't like the professor doesn't know me, I assume it is just a streamlining thing.

I'm working through the first CARS Qpack now to finetune it for April 29th, and currently I am averaging a 56%. But the thing is that most of my passage by passage scores differ a lot. I've done 13 passages so far, and counting the last 3 alone I got a 3/5, a 5/5, and now a 1/5. Before that I had a stretch where I went 6/7, 1/6, and 6/6 all in a row.

I want to say that this is most likely a passage comprehension issue, so depending on if the passage's main point sinks in or not I do really well. Does anybody else have experience with this? Currently scoring 128 (pretty good but I wanna shoot for 130+ to make up for my P/S scores lmao) on the CARS section, but the QPack makes it look like I

Just got my test back today (129/128/128/126) and was hoping it would be a bit higher. I feel like this is no man’s land in scores so I don’t know what my chances would be like this cycle. I am a junior majoring in bioengineering with minors in chemistry and economics.

In terms of EC’s, I have about 1700 research hours (no publication as of now but I anticipate one by application time) and about 800 hours of working at a tennis clinic for children. Outside of those big hitters, I have 150 hours of clinical volunteering and 100 non-clinical. In terms of shadowing, I also have about 100 hours, mainly focused in cardiology. I have worked one full year as a TA for OChem 2.

Hello everyone,

I'm testing on 1/27 and I keep running into similar problems with B/B passages. I know 90-95% of the science behind it, but when answering questions I do not know how to use the passage to help me apparently. I keep forgetting key details or relationship in the passage, even though I have highlighted them most of the time. On my most recent FL, I got a 127 on the B/B section leading me to believe it isn't so much a content gap, but a passage issue. After reviewing the answer, more times than not I clearly see where I went wrong in the review, just not during the actual test time.

Currently, I am trying to take the passage slower than normal and highlighting any relations (s

7th Character Elixir Sale

Other :Universal:

Has there ever been a sale for the extra character elixir? I have been waiting to see if KI will ever lower the price a bit to buy it, but so far no luck.

Should I continue waiting for it or just buy it now? I want to try out all 7 schools, and myth looks real fun.
