Trying to use the custom setting to add my own specific mix of sprinters into the population. When I click on custom though it says an "advanced" settings box should appear but is nowhere to be seen. Has anyone been able to find where it's located in the settings?
As I've progressed a bit more in my cooking journey I've tended to salt meats at the before cooking and then add the majority of seasoning right near the end of cooking, especially if I'm pan-searing. If not, the meat comes out fine and well but the seasoning gets burnt and sticks to the surface of the meat giving the top layer a burnt taste. Is this the right way of going about things?
My meals taste fine now that I've adopted this method but I wonder if I could squeeze more flavor out of a dish by heating seasoning more properly. A friend of mine has told me that I'm likely to be cooking at too high of a heat for herbs to survive, but I would like a second opinion.
Pretty new to music theory and I'm having trouble differentiating between what makes a tone a tone, a note a note, and the difference between a tone and semitone.
If a tone is just a sound wave, represented by a frequency, what makes that different from a semitone, which I can only assume to be another sound represented by a specific frequency?
If that is the case, are tones/semitones just an organizational structure? Like evens and odds in our number system?
And as far as notes go, are notes just tones stretched out over specific time intervals, depending on bpm and the type of notes? How does timing play into this and what makes a "bar" in music?
Thanks.
Been playing for about 2 and a half months now, and my upstrums are all over the place. I can't seem to find a comfortable angle to hold the pick and stop it from slipping out of my grip, and I also can't hit more than 1-2 strings on an upstrum. When I do hit those strings they are jarringly louder than my downstrums.
I have a handful of questions regarding your experience with pick placement and upstrumming.
-
Regarding the information above does anything immediately strike you as something wrong on my end?
-
Do you actively change the tilt of your pick in real-time as you strum? (i.e. tilting your pick up towards yourself on a downstrum to make it glide easier among the strings and vi
This happens primarily to my index finger, as I hold for instance a c chord, the b string slowly sinks deeper into my finger, eventually causing buzzing/muting and requiring more pressure to keep a solid sound. As I press harder the sound is consistent for a handful of strums until the cycle repeats itself.
I've come out of a handful of sessions with my index finger completely numb...
The one condition is that I will not disclose information that is personal to the victim or their family.
I've been practicing using Justin Guitar as a guide, and have recently finished his "grade 1" section of 9 grades in the course. I've been playing for about a month and a half now.
I have learned the 8 essential beginners open chords, and can play a few songs by memory using them. Along with a few other songs mostly focused on picking.
I've heard a lot about the caged system and scales but don't really know what they mean or what they are used to train and I would like to know if its something that will be easier to learn later or that I should begin studying as early as possible alongside justins lessons and my own practice. As far as music theory goes, I have only studied the note circle
Recently got into acoustic guitar and am searching for artists to listen to and begin practicing songs with.
Genre and difficulty aren't super important, it would be prefered if their music was tailored to the beginner/intermediate level, but I just need some talent for inspiration/direction on practice. Thanks.
I see them a lot in various online tutorials or songs, usually lookgs like a shiny metal or black band that goes directly over a fret, or diagonally across two.
My question is what is the purpose? I would guess it changes the tone of the strings hands free, but isn't that what the tuning pegs are for? Additionally, as a new guitarist (20 hours playing new) should I buy one now to not regret not having one later?
The Suomi is simply way too strong for its rarity, I unlocked it out of my first green box and carry it solely into just about every game and no other gun I've used even compares to its cost effectiveness
Tight bloom even when standing, so tight that its standing bloom is better than many weapons' crouched and the recoil pattern is mostly vertical with very small horizontal push making it super easy to control
It spews bullets like no tommorow and only requires three body shots (one headshot ofc) to kill and has a magazine size of 72, if you are in this things sightlines for under a second you are good as dead
It outclasses every gun below it and gives no reason to run any other weapons (
I apologize in advance if this is already a well discussed topic
I just spent all day grinding the materials to build the electric generator to be able to build two house upgrades at once but it doesn't seem to actually do anything, has anyone else experienced this? Is it intended, and if so what is its true purpose
Edit: After upgrading something on my house I was able to do 2 concurrent upgrades at once, I will leave the post up in case anyone else experiences the same thing
Playing on Xbox One, recently picked up the Lantern of souls for use with my mage, the wiki has stated that it may be used to cast flamethrower however any time I try it only says, item does not have enough durability,
I was wondering if any console players (or PC if the bug exists there) knew of a workaround to make the lantern usable
