Tumbleweed is already something surreal in terms of stability, responsiveness, and performance, as well as package security, and it's also a rolling release.

And Slowroll is even better; I'd venture to say that this distro is on its way to becoming the perfect distro for users who don't want to deal with glitches and who value productivity. Without fear or doubt, this is already more than perfect. Simple, clean, and polished.

Congratulations to the developer and maintainer of this gem... I commend you on the excellent work. Personally, I don't have many specific requirements for its use. But having a system that gives me security and has extremely low chances of failure is a luxury.

This is the distribution I've loved using the most throughout my journey. Version 22.04 was incredible, and I thought version 24.04 would be the same. It turns out that Cosmic is very exciting, but it's still far from the Pop Shell experience on top of Gnome.

My use case isn't that demanding, but on the other hand, I like everything to work right out of the box; I don't like a lot of work and stuff like that.

But I believe that one day Cosmic will get there. In the meantime, I'll wait until openSUSE Slowroll comes out for my daily use while I wait for version 26.04. But I think I'll opt to install Gnome on it.

I really like the philosophy of Pop_OS and I have no reason to abandon it c

First, I apologize for my clumsy English lol.

But here's the thing, as the title suggests, I'm not a developer and I don't understand anything about this subject.

What brings me to this subreddit is learning; I've been using Linux for over 4 years, but not full-time. I go months without touching it, but this time I decided to follow a different approach.

I have a little bit of free time and I decided to learn how to use Window Manager, but laziness and not having the time to configure everything or test various pre-made configurations is annoying, and I don't want to risk spending that much time.

I took some time to read the Omarchy documentation and saw that it's intended for develope

I’m writing this to say goodbye to openSUSE. It has, by far, been the best Linux experience I’ve had since 2022.

Reason: Work requirements — I’m required to use Windows and Microsoft Office.

However, this isn’t a final goodbye. As soon as I can afford another computer, I’ll be back to SUSE. Next time, I’ll move away from Tumbleweed and switch to Slowroll — I really love its concept and philosophy.

Thank you to everyone who helped answer my questions and supported me during these past three months using the system. I’ll still be around to help newcomers, just as I was helped, and to keep up with the distribution’s updates.

See you around. Thank you 🫂🫂

I'm using Tumbleweed with GNOME and I wanted to know if there's a setting that improves battery consumption.

Thank you in advance.

I'm asking for suggestions on extensions to integrate these functionalities into my workflow.

Request from a beginner. Thank you very much.
