So, got a new to me ariens. When I drive it the left side the auger house struggles to clear (ie. it leaves a trail no matter how big or small a cut I make.). If I blow in the opposite direction the right side I can take the full 24" cut and it will not leave a trail. I've looked at it while running. Seems both sides move at same pace. I checked the sheer pins. All in good shape. Any ideas?? So strange. Ariens platinum sho 24" model 2017. 356 cc so engine size should be plenty for the snow I have been clearing.

So, I bought a used Ariens Platinum 24 SHO.

The guy I bought from only used the plug in to start. I’ve noticed it’s near impossible to start with the pull cord from cold. I have to also use the plug to start. It starts easy enough when plugged in. Then once warmed I can use the pull cord to start.

Is it because he never used the pull cord? Previous machines I’ve always used pull cord with 2 or 3 pulls no issue.

Machine is probably 4-6 yrs old. And if it’s because of lack of use. What do I need to do to fix the pull cord issue?
