I just owned a cat for the first time, it was very docile in the morning but it was super active at night and was constantly jumping on me. I had a very important exam in the morning so i got worried and i put it to the hallway with it's food, water and toilet. I also turned on the light so it wouldn't have trouble seeing (or else its super dark at the corridor). It started to meow in front of my door for like 2 and half hours and patted my door. I didn't open because i didn't want to be sleepless for that exam. İn the morning i opened the door but now i wonder if this night could become a permanent trauma for the cat?
