It's incredibly patronising and objectifying.

A big solution to loneliness put forward here is, well if we just change culture and society a little bit women's standards would change and the issue will be solved. Look at body positivity.

Firstly, are you now attracted to overweight women because of a few ad campaigns in the mid 2000's?

I would bet that almost every single man here would find exactly the same kind of women attractive 20 years ago as they do now. Body positivity wasn't some mass brain washing to make fat women attractive, it was a move to portray in advertisements the type of women who actually buy the clothes.

And it obviously didn't work as a form if cultural manipulatio

And to believe it is sets an incredibly dangerous precedent.

Love and sex is the product of at least two voluntary consenting people.

It is not a resource, or property, or a need.

You have no right to somebody's voluntary actions and feelings.

And there is no equivalent of which a strawman can be tied to in order to justify an opposing argument. You are not owed sex because you pay taxes, for instance.

Sex and love are the product of consent and freedom, not control and force.

You do not need it, there is no right to it, and there should never be any control over it.

I don't think you do have the right.

But I believe male frustration at not being picked by women translates into just world fallacy where they are the victim of women's choices being immoral and unreasonable. And therefore, because the women's preferences and choices are unreasonable, not only are these men void of responsibility for their own dating shortfalls, but there's now a justified mandate to control and criticise womens freedom to date and have sex with who they want as a whole.

I believe this stems from entitlement and frustration, not a true sense of caring about morality or whatever "being reasonable" is when it comes to dating.

Following the daily beasts leaked bad review, I feel that maybe movie review embargos shouldn't be allowed. Its anti consumer.

Maybe Superman is a great film, maybe it sucks. But the one review we have seen says it's bad and in a world with inflated ticket pricing and higher and higher cost of living, I'm glad it leaked because I've cancelled my pre booking.

I understand that we should not allow critica to sway our opinions on films, and there are many films I enjoy and would pay ticket price for that critics don't enjoy. But overall a general critical consensus gives a reasonable idea as to the product you are going to buy.

Superman is a product. It's a big plastic corporate product and

What's stopping you from becoming more attractive?

What's stopping you from becoming one of the guys the women who reject you want?

You know the answer. Work out, dress better, maybe make more money, be more engaging socially and when interacting with women be exciting and funny and confident whilst not being too needy.

Its all very obvious stuff.

Have you tried all this? If not, what's stopping you? And if you have, what's stopping the results?

So rightly or wrongly, two publications have shown their hand when it comes to their impressions of Superman and so far not so good.

I think for me the biggest red flag was David's interpretation of the character in the interview scene in the second trailer. Not very Superman like at all. The Daily Beast criticised his performance in the film also.

Interesting to see what more critics say when the film is out.

It won't work.

Its unattractive. And on the subject of attraction, you literally can only achieve the goal of sex and relationships by being attractive.

Does it make you feel good to complain that nobody wants to date or have sec with you? Yeah, maybe, the way a child cries or a dog howls.

But you're a fully grown adult man, no? So can you not see it's not conducive to literally anything?

It's not going to change any external circumstances enough that suddenly, you're now attractive as a second had by product. And even if by some weird miracle men launched massive joint protests across the entire world and somehow it changed the entirety of society, and somehow a woman just had to be wit

It's quite interesting and I have a bit of a theory about some people who justify this, but there has been a bit of division over Supermans demeanour and his behaviour in some of the clips and trailers.

I will use the interview with Lois scene as the primary example.

Ok so Lois starts asking him provocative questions about his actions and the public opinion and backlash against him and he gets visually irritated and starts being erratic in his body language and arguing back very akin to a teenager who won't tidy his room.

Now, his total lack of emotional regulation and control and his tantrum are not Superman. It is not stoic, it is not passion. It's juvenile and indicative of a man who i

They simply cannot help it.

The way as a man you maybe have an overall drive for sex that's like a thirst, a hunger. For women it's an instinct to be selective with men.

They are biologically primed to whittle down their options. Whereas with men it's a case of if she hits a bear minimum standard, she's a potential option and you're happy to explore a relationship with her and probably have sex with her.

It's also the case for most men that biologically, the more options they have, the more likely they are to sleep with as many of those options as possible. It's an instinct, lots of sex with lots of different women.

For women, the larger the sample size of men to select from, their insti

And we are in a period of discomfort and growing pains as a society where women really don't need men, and men are nowhere near guaranteed a partner.

If anything, it's clear that going forward being single as a man is the exception not the rule.

But we did have a period of a few decades where marriages and coupling was the "expectation". This was because of the remnants of religion in society, the promotion of the nuclear family, and a more localised dating scene that was essentially a few dozen men in your local area and social circle. It was also the product of female oppression and dependency on men economically.

But it failed. Women gained economic and social freedom. Conservatism an

How do you feel when men on here argue that your own personal standards and preferences are not correct, and that you should adhere to what they deem your "realistic and reasonable" standard?

How do you feel when men imply you not wanting to have relationships and sex with men who would make you dissatisfied and miserable is going to lead to the downfall of society?

How do you feel when men imply they simply know better than you about who you should be settling for and that your freedom of choice, and most importantly freedom of who not to choose, is simply an annoying arbitrary obstacle in the way of getting what they want and feel they need?

Sex and love cannot be redistributed. In order to do so you literally have to force somebody to have sex with somebody they don't want to.

Love and sex is not a resource. It's not something you can share or divide or give multiple people without having your body physically violated in the worst way.

There is no equivilancy between, for instance, taxation and sex.

You cannot say that because you pay tax women owe you sex. There is no moral argument to be made.

A lot of men for some reason whether they know it or not see women's choice and sexual autonomy as a kind of annoying barrier to something they think they are truly entitled to and need.

The only moral way to aquire sex is with tw
