Hi all,

I started Stronglifts (consistently) about 4 months ago, but I've been inconsistently lifting for like 5 years prior to that. Wanted to get a check on if these numbers are normal? I've had no issues progressing with squats and deadlifts - I haven't had to deload once on either yet and have been consistently adding to both each workout. My upper body lifts keep stalling though. Any advice to start getting those up? I'm concerned that I'm just not hitting upper body enough with the regular stronglifts program.

Stats (5x5s): Q M30; 210 lbs

Squat: 255 lbs

Deadlift: 260 lbs

Bench: 145 lbs

OHP: 115 lbs

Rows: 120 lb

Thanks!

I've got super curly hair, and throughout my life (m28), I've basically dealt with it just by keeping my hair short. I recently have tried growing it out a bit and have gotten some good control over it by following the Curly Girl Method and using hair mousse. I was talking with my parents about this, and they are basically adamant that hair products like mousse, gel, oil, or even conditioner are terrible for hair and in the long run will cause hair loss. Since starting with the CGM, I've been avoiding products with sulfates or alcohol. So, is there any truth to their fears? Can any older users here attest to this either way?

Hi all,

I got a check in the mail for a restitution payment from the Multistate Santander Settlement and I'm trying to figure out how to tell if it is legitimate. Normally, I'd ignore this kind of mail and just dismissing it as spam, but this time I'm having pause because I previously had a car loan using a company that was a subsidiary of Santander and they had some practices that made me uneasy. How can I determine if this check is legitimate?

Hi all,

This is the first time I've really let my hair get longer than like an inch and was wondering how I can maintain it. Right after I use conditioner in the shower, it looks good; but after two hours of just going through my daily routine it starts to really curl up and it only gets worse from there. I've tried products like pomade and gel and I end up losing all the volume. What can I do to stop my hair from getting very messy later in the day?

I guess this is a good a place as any to write out my thoughts, but I've felt like I've had doubts most of my life, and never felt comfortable enough to voice them. In high school, I did an experiment, where I prayed before one test and then didn't pray before another, and then didn't get significant differences in my results. Throughout my life, I've basically thought that if I buried my doubts, eventually, they'd just go away; my family are fairly progressive, but sometimes I feel like the only reason I'm a Muslim is because of love and respect for my parents. It hasn't been an issue for the past few years because I've lived on my own, but my parents recently found me a rishta, and that's
