We bought a package in March. We had our initial kickoff call which I thought would be somebody teaching us how to use the website, etc. Instead she booked us a short trip to Las Vegas to attend an in person session.

Is this trip and session basically another sales pitch to get us to upgrade our package or something? Why couldn't they just do this online? Should I be playing harder to get with these offer and asking for some bonus HH points or something?

I had a call from alpha sights the other day. The gave me the rundown of the request and then immediately asked me some confidential questions about my employer. Size of computing environment, manufacturers of hardware, etc. Is this normal?

I'm staying at the Westin next weekend I saw on Google maps that the Rideau canal is just a few steps away. Are you able to fish in downtown Ottawa like that? I could not find any regulations saying otherwise. I won't have a car so I'm hoping to be able to wake up early and walk down to the river side. I just got an invite from Silverlight to talk to a client. They explained the business model how they have a client who would like to talk to me. Then they ask me to provide answers to the following questions. Asking for some pretty internal stuff about my current employer. If anything, this is the stuff I'd expect to be answering on a consulting call... and not providing free of charge.

However, I still have a mortgage balance of $320,000. When I pay off the house, should I be including this in my closing costs? Does this mean the actual capital gain should be reduced by $320,000 bringing my capital gains to $190,000?

I'm very confused and hearing mixed messages about the state of YYZ these days. My questions are specific to departures. I hear terminal 1 is where all the issues seem to be and terminal 3 is not so bad. I'm leaving for a Air Transit package at the end of June and I fly out of Terminal 3 at 6:30am in the morning. People have said to arrive between 3 and 5 hours before departure to give yourself ample time for the security lines. I have one dilemma, I also need to line up to check bags. Even if I did arrive at 1:30am to ensure 5 hrs in advance of my flight, will the bag check desks for Air Transat be open even that early? Will the security checkpoints even be running? Can anybody recommend somebody they've personally used for re-sealing an aggregate and stamped concrete driveway? I called the installer and they're saying May 25 is the earliest for just a quote, and I'd rather get it done before then.
