Hey everyone. I'm curious to know what everyone's calprotectin levels are. I was diagnosed with celiac disease about a year ago. Unfortunately that didn't clear up my side effects. My dastro doctor ordered a calprotectin test and it came back a 471. Which from what I understand is extremely high. Have yet to have another colonoscopy scheduled - had one a year and a half ago (waiting for the office to call me) my levels were fine back then
Is my number pretty in line with chron's? I'm a bit worried it might be something like colorectal cancer (my health anxiety speaking)
Hi guys! 29yr old male, diagnosed with celiac roughly a year and half ago. I have tried my absolute best at staying completely gluten free. While cross contamination is something that has more then likely happened a few times I do feel like I have done really well at being 100% gluten free.
However my bowel movements have not changed, I still have 4-6 bowel movements a day. From semi formed to pure diarrhea.
I have gotten antibody tests done multiple times and my GI doctor says they come back normal, I also have had issues putting on weight as well. I have stayed around my starting weight for months - 6' 155 lbs.
What is somethings you guys have looked over in the past that I might sti
Hi everyone! Im a 29yr old male. I want to start off by saying I am unsure on my official diagnosis but I was having some not so normal symptoms last week from monday-thursday. I had a endoscopy/colonoscopy about a year and half ago and nothing was found outside of celiac disease and more mucus then normal.
Fast forward to last week and I had really bad nasuea, abdominal pains, diarrhea, not feeling full from eating and having eating make me feel worse then before eating. On the third day of this I went to the Emergency room and got a ct scan, blood tests on my pancreas, liver function and a cbc. The CT scan (with c
Hi there everyone, I'm new to the subreddit but thought this would be a great place to start talking to people who might have what I have. Or have experienced it and has any insights or tips moving forward.
I'm a 29m - recently became a bit obsessed with figuring out what's going on with my body as it hasn't been normal
Outside of being diagnosed with celiac a year ago I also just took a genetic test through invitae - I have a gene counselor calling me on Friday as I have been tested positive for the MITF c.952g>a (p.glu318lys) variation. Which apparently will make it a ton more likely to get melanoma in potentially renal cell carcinoma.
Getting cancer is my biggest fear in life and I'
