I only read a few chapters so will try to give detail.

He works at a fancy hotel. There are flashbacks to when he was stationed at another hotel in North Africa. She gives him documents to hide and he obliges but this document leaking cause her to be murdered.

Back to present day at his current hotel. He is hosting her x husband who may or may not have killed her. X arrives with an entourage that the steward accompanies to their large room. It's snowy outside.

I think the author is guy but not sure. The writing was really good imo. Fast paced thriller.

Just want to understand the legality of this.

I asked for a 3 month lease but was refused multiple times stating they don't have that option. That the website info is inaccurate.

I emailed them again before signing the lease and management confirmed that it was an option (they didn't realize it was me asking) Unfortunately they confirmed this after I signed the lease.

Is this normal?
