My 2 yo eats some meals in front of the screen. Mainly breakfast on weekends (weekday breakfast is at daycare) and if we go to a restaurant.

If I don’t give her a screen what happens? Well after breakfast I’m dealing with a HANGRY 2 yo until lunch. If I give her a snack she likes sure she will eat it, but then she’s eating a junk food snack instead of a somewhat nutrition breakfast.

Just today I made pancakes. She took one bite, spit it out, said “I no like it!” And started crying. I turned miss Rachel on and suddenly she’s eating. The same pancake.

Like what am I supposed to do? I can’t have a hangry toddler.

Hi all, I’m looking for jeans that are “slightly” wide legged. I guess lose/relaxed jeans? But I want them to be made of that thinner stretchier denim that a lot of skinny jeans were made of in mid 2000s. Do you guys know what I’m talking about? I find myself not being comfortable in regular denim jeans especially when it’s high / medium rise.

I wish they would bring them back. I got mine in 2016! I have been able to wear them then before pregnancy and now after pregnancy and I am 25 lbs heavier than I was back then. They still fit, they look like new, and they are very flattering. They will not bring this style back and I’m really frustrated. The material on the knees is getting thin so I know it’s a matter of time before they rip. I have never worn an item of clothing for 8 freakin years. I’m looking at eBay and Poshmark now, since that’s my only option…

No yogurt, no milk, no cheese. My main concern is calcium. Also won’t eat veggies, so can’t use that source. Trying to hide veggies doesn’t work as she can tell and stops eating the food. She won’t try any gummy supplements which were recommended by a pediatrician. I calculated her average calcium intake and it’s way under what it should be. She otherwise seems to be normal 2 year old. Anyone else had a kiddo like this?

I’m about to try chocolate milk I’m so desperate but I very much doubt she will go for it.

My newly 2 yo has been on balance bike since she was 12 months old. Her choice-she saw her brother on a bike and wanted to join. A few weeks ago she was on the bike and suddenly started crying about helmet, was pointing at her chin. It wasn’t too tight of anything. Since then she won’t wear it. I’m not planning to let her be on the bike without it. She cries if I suggest it. I’m wondering if anyone has experienced it? Did you figure it out? Did it pass?

I don’t even know if comedones is the right term. They are super small and white, and pop just by putting gentle lateral pressure on them from one side. And you can hear the pop too. They aren’t all over, more like 5-6 per night. I just started with 0.018% tret / clinda/niacinamide from apostrophe. I use it every 2 days and I sandwich it between moisturizer layers. I have another product with niacinamide that I also use on my off days (and used before tret) and it didn’t cause this. So unless it’s from clinda, does tret cause that? Is this the purge?

My coworker and I were asked to be preceptors, which is insane to me considering I JUST graduated. In 2015. So a year ago? Haha

I just switched specialties 1 year ago. I do work with another PA who has been there for 5 years though so that helps. Neither of us ever precepted before. This is inpatient general surgery specialty.

Any tips to be a good preceptor? How do you structure your day so you don’t fall behind on charts while doing extra work? I am low key excited about this to be honest.

My nearly 2 yo was a good eater. Her favorite things ever were blueberries, but she would eat any berry or fruit.

Then she got a GI bug.

Then she got RSV.

Now all she would eat is …. Peanut butter sandwich, pancakes, maybe noodles, maybe rice. NOT EVEN PIZZA. Fruits and berries are suddenly “ew”. No smoothies, no yogurt, no milk (never liked milk though).

I don’t know what to feed her. She seems to prefer starving rather than eating. She’s my second. My first was picky from the start so I have never experienced this “normal” pickiness. I think it’s normal? I can’t even sneak anything into her food. She can tell something is off and refuses it.

I have to give her Miralax so she can poo.

We got a 6 month old male kitten 2 weeks ago. We also have a 3 yo female cat. We introduced them properly. They seem to get along but the issue is, they wrestle at 5 am in our bedroom/hallway outside our bedroom.

Obviously this wakes us up. Or worse, wakes up our 2 toddlers.

I tried locking one or the other cat out but our 3 year old cat scratches under the door.

Please help, we are tired lol

For years I didn’t know why I was getting nauseous and extremely hungry not long after eating / when intermittent fasting. Last week I was eating sugar free jello and I got EXTREMELY NAUSEOUS. So much I ended up having ti eat a lot to stop the feeling. I know it was the sugar substitute. Then after thinking about it more I tried not using sugar free creamer in my coffee, but using a just creamer without anything else instead. No more nausea. No more crazy hunger. Don’t feel like snacking. My calorie limit is 1500 cal to lose 1 lb a week and I didn’t even hit that yesterday and was fine.

I thought people who said sugar substitutes make you more hungry were crazy. Turns out I was crazy

I just need to vent. I’m 36 and started skating 11 months ago. I bought skates without getting fitted. They worked for 2 months or so then became too loose. I learned my lesson. I went and got fitted for 0.5 size smaller and got them heat molded. The skates lasted 3 months and then became too loose. So I bought two pairs of skates in a year. Now I’m jumping and I feel like I’m going to break my ankle. I can’t afford a third pair this year and the pro shop said they can’t help make the skate any smaller or pinch it in or anything. I’m using ankle/heel gel pads and still one of my skates is too lose. It’s the side where my foot is slightly smaller than the other.

Lord help me. My first one didn’t do this stuff except when he was baby. My 22 month old puts everything in her mouth. Usually things that really shouldn’t go in her mouth. It’s why I keep play zone free of choking hazards. But what does she do? She puts acorns in her mouth when she’s outside. She swallowed it at least once. And today she found some metal spacer disc thing for screws in the garage and put it in her mouth. Like what do I even do. Rhetorical question. Can I get some solidarity lol

Hey skaters.

I started skating in January of this year. I was a total newbie at 36 years old. Right now I’m almost done with beginner classes, and I am focusing on improving my 3 turns (inside and outside), as well as Mohawks, and I’m beginning bunny hop and waltz jumps.

I have Jackson Elle which are serving heir purpose fine for now but I expect I will need an upgrade before too long. Maybe by summer? Anyway, I have been curious about the blades I keep hearing about, coronation ace, and Mk professional… how exactly are they different from my mirage blades? What does it FEEL like to skate on those? Is there an analogy you can make? I’ve just been curious about it lately and figured I’d a
