I did my undergrad through the Open Uni - I have never attended an on campus lecture in my life so I dont really know what a first day PhD student should wear.

I know that after the first few days/weeks it will end up being jeans, trainers and a t-shirt, but meeting supervisors and cohort for the first time I am guessing something more smart-casual? Are chinos, polo shirt and brown shows about right? Is a smart hoodie too casual?

Thinking out loud I guess, but if you believe in the Everettian theory of many worlds, which many distiguished physicists do (eg. Sean Carroll) then infinite worlds exist. If a perfect being exists in one of these worlds then, being perfect, they have to exist in every world. Therefore a perfect being exists in our world.

How is this disputed?

I drink a pint (0.5 litre) of water as soon as I wake up, then drink a pint at maybe 5 other times during the day.

I literally drink the entire pint in one go because if I take it with me with the intention of slowly drinking it then I just forget about it entirely.

I also drink about 4 coffees during the day.

Am I getting the same benefits as people who drink small but consistent amounts throughout the day?

From the Fool's recounting of the events we know that Burrich drags Galen to the witness stones and challenges Galen with the terms that if Burrich wins Galen can not strike Fitz or refuse to teach him. After this we get the lines:

"And when he was done the stablemaster bent and whispered something to the Skillmaster, before he and all the others turned and left the man lying there, with the stones witness to his whimpering and bleeding".

Fitz asks what he whispered and the Fool replies:

"I wasnt there. I saw and heard nothing of it."

I have read through the trilogies a couple of times now, and dont ever remember ever finding out what he whispered to Galen. This seems really odd to me be
