Just bought wife some Lululemon yoga pants at 15x (as of now) plus Amex Platinum is a $75 rebate. The total is $140 so 2100 points for $65 spend isn’t bad I suppose.
Wasn’t sure if BF was going to be higher or not so pulled the trigger when I saw the 15x
I see that it's no fee but wanted to see if anyone has experience with the 2% on groceries/dining on establishments outside the US. Do you get 2% or just the vanilla 1%? This would be killer for me as I am travel a lot.
Why would I want this? I travel a LOT and carry two minis with me (two separate iCloud accounts for my business and me).
I’m hoping Apple introduces a “serious” M3 or M4 iPad mini with thin bezel OLED display and better heat management (the A17 mini I have lags with heavy Lightroom use and the screen dims too signaling thermal throttling). It’s just not powerful enough to do heavier workloads unfortunately. What’s odd is my iPhone 15 pro max is ok doing Lightroom and video editing so not sure what it is
Anyway hoping Apple releases a “Mini Pro” with 1TB storage, bright OLED display that can be used outdoors easily, and a solid M3 or M4 so it can crunch through photo and video tasks.
I know this is probably a “no” but had anyone ever figured out how to get an iPad to be a second display for another iPad?
“Why?” Is probably your first question and the answer is i carry two iPad minis with me as that’s the lightest thing I can find to have two separate iCloud accounts logged in on (aside from iPhone which is too small). Sometimes it’s be nice to have just one keyboard/trackpad to control both. I can’t use continuity as they’re logged on as two different iCloud accounts and have been trying to figure out another way. Was thinking to do extended screen if possible or if you have another way to do kvm/seemless control with two iPads side by side with one keyboard/track
We’re coming of a three week backpacking trip from Kyoto to Tokyo (mix of Nakasendo & other highlights) and thinking to crash down in Tokyo for a few nights before heading to Aomori for Fall foliage. I booked the Madarin Oriental but my wife reminds me that we won’t have much on us as far as clothes goes so wondering about dress code. We stayed at the MO Bangkok and they were constantly fussing over our “California Casual” attire (shorts, t shirt, etc). Is the Tokyo branch similar where they require dress jackets just to grab tea in the lobby? Or are they more relaxed and would be ok with us in hiking clothes?
Update: thanks for everyone’s perspective seems like it’s fine to keep the res
I know they shut down a while ago but it was a favorite spot for Taiwanese style fried chicken rice and pan fried beef bun.
Any other places like it that has these around?
Just got back into town and one of our favorite places is gone!
Anyone know if they moved or reopened elsewhere under a new name?
Not sure this is the right place but I thought I’d take a stab
US passport for both wife and I but living in Thailand and will be moving to Japan.
Been retired since 2022 but our income keeps climbing - hit about 1.2m last year and will be same this year. Last year bore full brunt of US & California taxes and will do so this year as well.
Next year will be the first year we don’t need to spend more than a few days in the US and I’m planning on keeping that going indefinitely.
I’ve been scheming of how to make use of the FEIE and foreign housing tax credit. There’s also the Section 962 election to treat myself as a corporation for tax purposes which plays a factor as well.
Here’s m
I have a friend booked on SFO-SIN under one record locator. He then booked SIN-HKT under another record locator.
It’s technically two separate flights but it’s meant for him to transit in Singapore to get to Phuket.
The question is, can SFO checkin counter check his luggage all the way through to Phuket if he gives them the second itinerary? Or would he need to collect his bags and check in again? They have 2:45 so it’s not so bad but he will have his elderly mother and his sister’s family with him so it’ll be a bit cumbersome to say the least especially as this will be their first time in Changi.
Also would he be able to us the SilverKris lounge? He’s arriving in Singapore on th
Hello all,
I’m trying to figure out how a VA can help me and my business. Not sure if the following is possible to find in one or two VAs and what a fair wage would be.
- Answer emails after hours for our business. Usually we’re open Wednesday to Sunday but usually get a few requests after Sunday closing all the way through Wednesday opening time. It’s mostly inquiring about our services and asking for basic scheduling info. The basic version of this is just auto responding with (Thanks for contacting us but we’re closed until Wednesday at 11am. We’ll get back to you then). The advanced version of this would be logging into our systems and processing these requests just like our re
Had a friend take me to try it for the first time my last trip and I didn’t get it. The flavors were all over the place, the texture didn’t make sense, etc. I didn’t enjoy it but I know it’s a signature dish in Singapore. What’s the deal?
Added a 2TB ssd and have 8 cameras hooked up to it (mishmash of outdoor, indoor, and doorbell). After adding the 2TB drive, it keeps rebooting itself and no recordings ever seem to get added to the new drive.
Any thoughts? Remove the drive and see if that helps? Bad firmware (v3.6.1.0)?
