A deposit was given on a pre construction in 2022. recent delays have caused the project to extend slightly past the “outside date” which was 12 months past the original completion date over 1 year ago. My question is , how likely or easy should it be to cancel the contract? The developers team did inform of delays recently but not any details as to the nature of the delay.

How long would a potential legal battle take to get the deposit back?

The information I have is such:

Pathli Pindh (Post partition Sarshamir?) - Chak # 489. Taseel Tobha Tekh SIngh. , Lyallpur, Faislabad

Where is this? How does one get there? Any history or tips on this village itself? It is where my grandparents are from and they have never been back. I would love to go one day

Trying to understand why there isn’t a tax model that taxes land that is unproductive or unused more heavily. Would this not incentivize holders to switch hands and sell the land to someone who would build on it, or prompt them to build on it myself?

I am in a metropolitan centre and it baffles me that small lots of land are worth so much, yet people store their wealth these lots during a housing crisis. There are so many single family lots in my neighbourhood that have sat there unused for 10+ years.

Please feel free to pick holes in my argument here as I am genuinely curious why an agressive taxation model on these lots has not occurred yet.

Thanks in advanced!
