Looking for recommendations for a small desktop laser engraver suitable for live, in-person use (for use at events as a free giveaway).

What I want to do:

  • Engrave names onto guitar picks on the spot (plastic or wood)
  • Fairly fast turnaround per item
  • Reliable, compact setup

Budget: ideally £150–£300 (UK-based)

I’ve looked at things like the Kiosk 2.5W and the Atomstack P1 5w, but would love to hear the opinions of people here. I have some but little experience with laser engravers, far from an expert.

Any advice appreciated

Hey all,

I’m visiting Myeongdong in January and I came across paragliding, which I think would be an amazing experience. Specifically, I like the look of paragliding in Yangpyeong, which should only take around an hour to get to the pickup point for.

However, I’m not sure of the best place to book this. I’ve found a website, but there are little to no reviews, so I’m hesitant to book through it. Does anyone have any experience with this site or recommend sites to book experiences like this in South Korea?

Thanks everyone!

I posted recently about travelling to Seoul and I’m now at the point of actually booking. Thanks to everyone who replied on my previous post, it helped a lot. I got a lot of feedback on areas to stay and, with my own research, I’ve narrowed it down to either Myeongdong or Insadong, but I can’t decide between the two. I’ll likely be staying in one of the Ibis hotels.

I like that both areas are a bit more tourist-focused, which I think will be beneficial as this will be my first solo trip.

From what I’ve read online, both appeal to me, just for different reasons. What I’m looking for overall:

  • Shopping and wandering around in general
  • Experiencing night markets / street food
  • Food in gen

I’m looking tomove out soon and will be living alone (26m). What kitchen items are must haves that people often overlook when living alone?

I’m planning on getting a couple of individual casserole dishes for single portions, but what else should I consider?

Hey everyone,

I’m a 26-year-old single guy looking to buy my first home, and I could really use some advice from people who’ve been through this.

I currently have £15.5k in a Help to Buy ISA and another £4.5k in a Monzo savings pot. I’ve got a couple of small pots elsewhere, but nothing major beyond those.

I earn just under £29k a year, and there’s a good chance I’ll be getting a raise to around £32–34k in the next six months - though I’m not counting on that until it actually happens.

The houses I’m looking at around my area tend to sit between £120–140k, which is the range I’d feel comfortable buying in. Anything much cheaper tends to be places I wouldn’t be thrilled to live in.

Hery everyone!

So, to cut a long story short… life happened. I’ve wanted to do a solo trip for years and January finally feels like the right time. I was debating Japan or South Korea, and I think I’ve settled on Seoul.

A few questions for anyone who’s been:

  • Did you book everything individually or go for a package?
  • What were your personal must-see or must-do experiences?
  • Anything in particular I should look out for when booking?

I’m coming from the UK if that makes any difference. I’m nervous but excited — this’ll be my first proper solo adventure and I want to make the most of it.

I’m mostly posting out of nervous excitement and to hear your experiences!

Thanks everyone!

Hey everyone,

I’m having an issue booting Unraid and I’m running out of ideas, so any advice or suggested fixes would be appreciated.

I use Unraid as a Plex server. I was running on an old Dell Optiplex, everything worked great other then the Optiplex being old and showing it's age. I’ve now built a new system and it’s been nothing but issues so far.

First: after building the PC, I spent two days trying to get the internet working, only to eventually realise the Ethernet port on the motherboard was dead (I suspected something was wrong from the start as the port light never came on). I got a replacement motherboard and the internet worked instantly, so all good there.

Once that was s

Hello all,

My little cousin is 10 years old and a couple days ago had a pretty bad accident whilst out with his friends (I’ll not go into the details but it’s going to be a long recovery with multiple surgeries ahead). Due to the injury, he’s going to struggle to sit in any one position for extended periods and also won’t be able to stand/walk for a while.

At home he has a PS3 but I feel a handheld would be more comfortable for him as he can move it around with him, plus he can use it for his current/upcoming hospital stays.

We only have a small budget of around £30-40 (trying to ask friends/family to pitch in and raise this). I looked at a PSP as I thought it’d be ideal with being olde
