Good morning folks!
As my beloved Steinbichler-era T-Scan systems are long out of production, and we need to replace them. I'm searching for a successor. We've had several running on the end of robots, 24 hours a day, 6-7 days a week, for 7 years now, on the weld shop floor with great results, so I have pretty high standards.
Unfortunately post acquisition of Steinbichler, Zeiss has largely abandoned single line scanning in an industrial automate-able form factor, in favor of their AIMax system which I've been pretty unimpressed with.
The closest thing to a drop-in successor seems to be Creaform Metrascan-R units and I'm curious if anyone has any experience with them, positive or
The 'Burban has a host of weird electrical issues that I assume have to be semi-related, and while I'm pretty handy mechanically, electrically I've got two left feet.
Hoping you guys might be able to point me in a general direction to look.
Issues:
Cruise Control won't engage/won't stay engaged/unengages based on climate control settings. Depending on a combination of temperature and fan speed Cruise either doesn't turn on, won't stay on, or turns off when I do change the climate settings. It will happily run for hours if I leave it at the 'correct' settings.
Interior lights/gauge cluster dim significantly when rolling windows up/down (also almost a guaranteed way to shut off cruise) I

Essentially brand new PC that's used for one of our industrial metrology applications.
Everything's setup ready to rock. Last thing to do is add a second SSD to store results. Shut the rig down. Plug in the NIB Samsung SSD and try to boot the PC. Doesn't go. Try again. Still nothing. Unplug SATA connector it boots fine.
Plug back in, check boot order, nothing unusual there. Go ahead and try booting. Nothing. Let it sit for an hour, still nothing. Unplug the SATA cable while it's looping, within 10 seconds boots to Windows.
Restart it without the drive, plug the drive
