I've read all the main novels, the novellas, and the first three of the Tales collections. I haven't started the fourth Tales collection, yet, but it's in my digital TBR "pile". Really enjoyed the books, the world-building, and came to care for the characters (yes, even had my own "Oh, you @&!*%$# motherfucker" moment in Ashes of Man where I had to put the book down and walk away for a day or two).

I see now that there's Sins and Songs are forthcoming, that bring all four Tales books into two new omnibus editions AND add in exclusive short stories as well. However, there's also the occasional Short A that's only available in Special Edition X and Short B that's only ava

I was recently gifted Anavrin's "Kyoto Gion" kit and really enjoyed it [and so did both of the kittens who wanted to be in the middle of everything (THE LED WIRES! OMG NEW TOY!!!!) ... So, yeah, lesson learned on that! :D ]. I'm not even gonna start the "Kowloon Walled City 2049" one until I can get a more secure place :D

I've started looking at others, but, I'm a newbie and so many of the ones I'm seeing seem really intimidating [vague instruction sets, individual pieces that take as much assembly as the overall kit itself, questionably labeled sheets, 500+ pieces (with these butter fingers?!), etc...]. Are there good resources/review sites/similar places for good info on where a newb

I'm able to install AudiobookShelf without any issues. However, I want the library to be located on the 2TB ssd in my system (Ubuntu 26.04, non-docker), not on the 1TB boot drive.

I cannot, for the life of me, seem to find information how to do this. I can find all kinds of information for Docker/Portainer about exposing volumes/mount points, but there's a dearth for those of us who just run it on the host OS. :-(

I set a mountpoint ("/mnt/datadrive") for root of the second drive in my fstab, and I then created a directory within that mount point ("abslibrary"). However, when I go through the initial configuration for Audiobookshelf to "create your first library" I can select the mount

In the middle of moving my lights to the other side of the patio, my son rode his bike from the driveway into the back yard. I was able to ward him off from any of the bulbs themselves, but he rode right over the control box.

Yes, I admit that it is my fault for laying the lights out on the ground as I was working, and not blocking off the area with something (my husband actually has small orange traffic cones for when we mop the floors, so those would have been perfect).

I'd like to purchase a replacement unit, but I'm not able to find just that device, on the Govee site. Am I not searching the correct terms/phrases.etc, or is this something that I'll need to open a support ticket for

I did try searching, but I guess my search Kung Fu is weak, because I got lots of responses, but nothing that spoke to my scenario. :-(. Please forgive, and point me in direction, if I’ve missed something (less “if I missed something” and more “I know I missed something… sorry!”)

I’d like to get some get some ethernet switches, as the router/nodes only have 1x WAN and 1X LAN port each. But I was led to believe that a wired backhaul will only work if each node is connected directly to its upstream partner directly:

Fiber ONT -> Router/Node01 WAN
Router/Node01 LAN -> Node02 WAN
Node02 LAN -> Node03 WAN

However, if I do this, then I’m connecting a switch to t

Hi everyone - in the interest of full transparency about developments at ITS for hiring/budget:

• In addition to the $20M budget reduction this year, DOB has decided that OITS must fund the cost of living (COLA) increases for our staff. That's an additional $18.5m hit to the budget. Other agencies are impacted similarly.

• All recruitment actions are now frozen i.e. +1 hires

• Any request for staffing will be denied unless it can be proven to the execs that the hire target is critical to State operations. Anything less will be denied.

• Promotions will continue

• Student assistants will be let go. There are roughly 30 that will be released from OITS -

Happened at the Cottonmouth dispensary parking lot, and the victim stumbled across the street to Burger King. A BK manager called 911, and police have had K-9 units on site, both the dispensary and the fast food lots are blocked off by police, and there is a crime scene area taped off where a jacket and cellphone were found. No suspect in custody, as of this writing.

I’m hoping that there is still one final release, Volume VIII, of the collected lore, to wrap up the Light/Dark Saga lore.

I've got the first seven volumes in hardcover on my bookshelf. But knowing that live development is ending, I'm hoping that the "print" folks will at least get that collated and curated and released for purchase. Otherwise every time I look over I'm going to know that the collection is incomplete… <twitch>
