Hi there,

I'm going to immediately note that I didn't check to see if there are rules on commissioned work. I'm sorry if this isn't kosher.

My wife has some specific requirements about her next purse and finding one thus far has been challenging. I'm looking to buy and deliver this for her birthday in August of this year.

Some example requirements:

* Feet so that if placed on a public restroom floor the bag doesn't touch the floor. I'm happy to send links to examples I've found.
* A secure bag closure either a zipper or strong magnetic closure

* Structured leather with specific inner pocket designs

I'd love to commission this piece and work with a real leatherworker

First off, this hypothesis wouldn't have been possible without Sarah Payne: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QT3hoxOwtgQ that specific podcast is what nucleating the idea in my mind.

The jarring thing about this administration is the hard turn away from rules-based operating. It was very easy to see when zooming out far enough, that our strategy of making the world play by the rules primarily through economic incentives, was a consistent and effective strategy. We can even still see this level of effectiveness in other liberal economies, from California to Norway. The advancement of the grand strategy of alignment also seems like the sort of

Hey all,

I have major issues with mentioning names or uploading any form of my proprietary work to any LLM vendor. Their terms all enable them to fold my stuff into general models.

I know people hive off instantiating of AI’s disconnected from the backhaul but are they at least still cloud deployed? Anyone have an ELI5 on how to do this and rough costs?

Thanks!

Hey,

A company I'm working with has a couple of openings. It's a complex selling motion designing things like cranes and conveyors and robots/workcells to move materials. It's a growing sector that is in a temporary downturn since Walmart and Amazon shut down building distribution centers (this company was unaffected by those).

I know a lot of tech folks are hurting. If you're in the greater Rochester, NY area, drop a line here if you want to learn about it.

Opportunistic investment in a solar syndication disintermediated by Isreali/Hamas war - sites were previously in the second stage of interconnection queue with offtaker.

150MW pipeline in Idaho (antagonistic to green energy, thesis specifically tied to this) Waiting to "hit go" on the DG interconnection queue given Idaho Power requires monthly average balance

Pref is 6%, we're subscribed for what we "need" but would take some more in this pre-NTP round for equity into the holdco.

We have land control, completed designs, engineering bids with bonding, and a clear path on environmental and permitting in July.

Our plan is to bring two assets to NTP and liqui

Hey there,

I standardized on August some time back for all my locks. I had a major renovation done and my chime was deleted as part of the work. Now I'm thinking I'll need a fairly expensive electrician to snake a new chime wire to my panel in order to use the August solution rather than buying a bluetooth chime.

Anyone have recommendations/best practices? I'm open to replacing the front doorbell, I just need a chime for indoors however is easiest without being ineffectual.

If helpful, a few more details:

  1. I have a couple of coat closets in my otherwise open concept entry - I plan to place the chime inside one of these and, if I need to wire it, to drop the wire through the wall.
