I've had a thought over the years that maybe the lines are expressed differently not only depending on the individuals overall characteristics but also the cultural environment they come from.

The rave i'ching descriptions were filtered through Ra and may make sense to some and not to others or one might make their own version.

Have a realme 7 pro with a broken screen (might fix at some point) but otherwise use a Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus.

I want a 3.5mm jack, decent battery life, sd card slot, camera that takes natural photos and video (latter is what the redmi does well using the pro mode + log option and records sound well) camera is ok if shooting raw and setting up parameters manually but otherwise just not very good.

I'm not willing to go past 300 euros. I'm looking at refurbed stuff as well. Was looking at pixel 7, Moto Edge 60 Fusion, Sony xperia 10 V (no 4k...).

If anyone here still uses this phone (I got it 4 years ago or so) and/or tried a custom rom, I'd like to hear your experience. I just ordered a battery replacement because I do still like the phone and can't find a suitable replacement just yet. There are still some software issues they still haven't resolved and probably won't because it's probably not being updated anymore.

So I've been using a Realme 7 Pro since about '21. A lot has change in that time for both good and bad.

The only real issue on the hardware side I have is that I ruined the volume buttons so they're much more difficult to press and on the software side it's two things:

• how the phone records sound (overly processed and it cannot be or at least I haven't found a way how to, be bypassed, turned off. I bought a really good app for that reason called Field Recorder that captures sound amazingly well with the built in stereo mics but then if I plug in a wired LAV mic it does something similar as the default voice recorder app as well as fb messenger, telegram, etc

I found a song on some gran turismo Spotify playlist and love it, though idk what kind of genre it's supposed to be.

So after years of taking photos with my phone and actually realizing I like photography a lot I borrowed my brother's D600 with one 50mm and one 35-135mm lens.

I also recently received a hoodie with a design I made and I'd like to take some photos from various distances with a timer.

I'm quickly familiarizing myself with the camera but I'm guessing it can't do what I want it which is to set a timer and then autofocus on a object in the specific focus region automatically before taking the photo.

Can that be done?

If I switch it from view finder to screen it it does this continuous autofocus but I if I press the shutter nothing happens.

I'm a bit lost here.
