We are planning a family trip to Quebec City around Christmas and I like to learn general/simple words for spending a week there.

I was googling and kept getting a mix of French words for tourists and possibly Quebecois. I wasn’t sure if speaking general French words in a French Canadian area would be frowned upon.

Can anyone give me a good resource for Quebecois words useful for a tourist? Or list any if that is easier.

Hopefully I didn’t miss a FAQ or something that gives these opinions.

I use my cast iron a lot but wanted to branch out into some Carbon Steel. Is there such a good as a “beginner” brand that is best?

I would like to season it myself versus buying a pre-seasoned pan.

I thought the opinions here might be better than random review websites.

Kia Sportage hybrid sx prestige or Toyota Venza XLE

Let me start by saying I don’t know the availability of the Venza but looking for the Sportage w/ the Carmine red seems almost impossible, I live in NE Florida.

I started looking again at other options over the Sportage but seems hard to find a competitive vehicle for the $$. The Venza seems like a better ride than the rav4 hybrid, with its highway wind/engine noise, so I was looking into that.

Any opinions on which of these is better option between the Sportage and the Venza. I know Kia gets a lot of flak and a lot of people love Toyota for the reliability over the years.

I have been looking into getting a 23 Sportage Hybrid Prestige as I really love the red interior. I am located in NE Florida and it seems they are non existent in this area. Lots of black/greys but never with the interior.

Is this common issue, or just my location?

First time posting and just put in a preference with the interior maybe 3 months ago to a local Kia dealership.

My wife and I will be traveling to Greece with a stop into Egypt, for Cairo and Luxor, while on that side of the world.

I have been reading about the importance of a guide, to help with all sorts of the trip, such as sight seeing, to harassment from locals over tipping, help with haggling for shopping, etc.

I was seeing if anyone had any first hand experience with a reputable company for hiring such help. If by chance the company also had the guide as a driver that would pick us up from the airport, show us good local places to eat, etc. that would be ideal.
