Hey there everyone, I would like to start off with the fact that I’m not a Christian, I’m a Chechen Muslim, but since I’m Chechen I’m familiar with Christian culture (mainly Orthodox Christian) due to the fact that I grew up around Russians.

I’d like to first start off with the fact that I’m not intending to attack anyone’s beliefs, and this isn’t a post about “my religion is better than yours”, I respect all 3 Abrahamic faiths (plus Bahai), and my question is purely theological, and that’s just something that I was thinking about for the last 1 and half years or so, but no one really gave me a good answer.

Also note, my vision of God doesn’t represent every other Muslim out there, I’m ju

So a quick backstory to my question.

I’m from Caucasus, and Wahhabism is banned here, but I’d say around 40% of people are secretly Wahhabi (at least in Ingushetia / Chechnya / Dagestan).

I remember how a couple years back I myself used to think that Music and singing is clearly Haram, standing up in front of someone is Haram, boycotting is Haram, and a million of other things are clearly Haram, until I started actually reading Quran and the Hadiths. I was actually pretty amused by the fact that it’s not even stated how exactly the Hijab should be worn, or that it should cover every hair or the whole neck, yet when you tell someone that the Hadith from Abu Daud about Prophet (pbuh) telli

At this point I’m convinced that people just want to hate each other, even if they are on the same side.
I keep getting these strange religious recommendations in my feed, and the comments are just absurd. I’ve stumbled upon a video of 2 Orthodox Christian girls going into a church, and I guess their Scarfs resembled the Hijab too much, so they got bamboozeled into oblivion by their own for wearing “heretical” clothes, then right after that I’ve stumbled upon a Muslim girl who was getting so much hate for the way she wore her Hijab and the way that she prayed (and she was also getting hate from her own people), then right after that I got recommended a video of a Russian Jewish guy who wa

I’m not talking about a religious view on the matter, but specifically from a secular historical point of view (I know history doesn’t assume something, when it never happened, but I’d like to know what’s the probability of such outcome, if the circumstances let Jesus live longer). I’m asking this question because the other prophets of the Abrahamic religions (Moses and Mohammed specifically) seemed to have had a pretty chill start, and once they gained some power, and were able to lead a certain group of people, they became more repressive.

What’s the probability that Jesus would have become more repressive ? I’m not specifically stating that every prophet that had a divine revelation was

Hi there brothers and sisters ! I’m a Vainakhi (Chechen specifically), and I know this question might be posted a lot here, but still wanted to hear some more recent opinions on the matter.

I know we have our beefs from time to time (mostly political, due to land claims, considering the fact that I haven’t heard of any major religious conflicts between us). I love all Caucasians, and consider us closely related due to the fact that we have a very similar mentality, identical traditional clothing, Lezginka, music etc. My Lezginka teachers were a Abkhazian and a Georgian, my boxing coach was an Ossetian, and my wrestling coach was a Dagestani, and I always had only positive personal interact

Hi there. I’m not Arab, nor am I a Persian or Iranian, nor am I from the Middle-East ethnically and geographically, but I wanted to ask a question.

So basically every time a see an Anti-IRGC / Pro-Monarchy video of Persian diaspora, they state that Irans regime is arabised / islamised, and that they don’t want to become Arabs and lose their culture (which is understandable)

On the contrary however, the thing that confuses me, is the fact that the Arab Gulf countries are actually allies with Israel and US, all of them are monarchies, they are literally intercepting Irans rockets that are launched into Israel by Iran, they have US military bases on their soil, they send billions and trillion

Assalamu Aleikum ! So long story short, I myself am a Sunni Chechen, at first I was Sufi (due to the fact that most Chechens and Ingush were Sufi before 1995-2005), but after a while turned regular Sunni with interest in Maliki Madhab. I always had this idea that Shia were hardcore Jahils, until around 3 years ago when I started researching whenever they actually do all the stuff that I was told that they are doing like cursing wife’s of the Prophet (s.a.w), cursing Sahabs, believing that Ali should’ve been the real messenger and all that other nonsense. I was pretty amused that practically all of it was either practiced by only 5% of Shia radicals, or outright fake…

Assalamu Aleikum. So I’ll start off with the fact that I am a Muslim Chechen guy, I wouldn’t necessarily attribute myself to a specific sect, but I’d probably say I’m Sunni and somewhat Hadith sceptical (regarding Hadiths that clearly contradict the Quran, not all Hadith), but I prefer not to attribute myself into a specific sect, and not to separate Muslims into sects. I generally haven’t met many Shias (except for Azeri and a few Iranians) and we didn’t really talk about religion, so I just want to get an honest response basically.

Is there a huge hate towards Sunni and other Muslims in Shia world ? I’m asking it, because a lot of Sunni (basically most of North Caucasus Muslims are Sunni
