Hey yall. I’ve been looking for a pack system to use for both fly and UL spin fishing. This system seems sweet since it has the belt with the net holster in it. I haven’t seen the pro version of this in a minute, so the regular one is what I’m looking at. What has yalls experience been with it? Worth it, or no.

Alright NJ anglers I have a question for everyone. I’m on the hunt to find yellow perch in the central/north Jersey areas. I’ve had a species list for this year and the yellow perch is the last one to get. Does anyone have any recommendations for spots?
I primarily fish ultralight and finesse from the bank.
Hey guys, new member here. I guess I’m looking for a littler reassurance. I’ve had diagnosed migraines and long headaches for years. I have a good daily med and pain regimen that works for me when I need it. I pretty much have some degree of headache daily. I just have to get up and do the things I need to do. Some of the people around me don’t understand that my world can’t stop because I’m in pain. Is this something anyone goes through too?
Hey all. I recently got my the thumbs up from my state’s licensing board for my provisional license (yay). Over the last few weeks I’ve been scouring the internet and job apps for jobs that seem like they’d be good and am having a hard time finding different listings. On indeed/linkedin and similar sites I’ve noticed that cycles through the same listings so you never really see anything different. How did you search for your first job? Any advice is welcomed
Hey guys. I was wondering if anyone has used a bubble and flies on their UL set up. I’m planning on picking up a few and don’t really know what I should get. Does anyone have any recommendations? I’m based in northern and central NJ. I plan on using them for trout when the water’s not so hot, but also for panfish and other species. I appreciate the help!
Hey guys! I’m traveling to Yosemite at the end of August as a grad gift, and am going to bring some fishing gear to fish in the park (in from the east coast). I use a 6’6” 2 piece UL rod, and am looking to see what people who travel with their gear use to transport their stuff carry-on. I only plan on brining my UL rod + reel, and my pocket tackle box I use in my wading setup (also maybe waders…not sure yet). Either DIY or not, what would you guys recommend for rod travel cases?
Hey guys. I’m wondering if anyone knew any streams or lakes (really any body of water) that has smallmouth bass. I usually fish from bank or wade, and have been want to try and target them but have had no luck.
Hey guys! I’m looking to treat myself a little and get a new UL set up. I recently got a Shimano Sahara 1000 and love that thing. I also have been using a bass pro microlite 6’ paired with a Lews speed spin for the last year and honestly really love it. I intend to use that when I want to wade small streams and such. I use it as a multipurpose/multi species UL and would do the same for any other rod I get.
I’ve heard really great things about TFO rods, particularly the trout+panfish for UL. I was thinking of getting either a 6’6” or the 7’. Right now, I fish a lot of stocked fish in lakes from the bank. I was wondering, for you guys who have used this rod, how was it? Do you like it? What
Hey yall! Making a post to ask for recommendations on 7’ medium light rods. I want something all purpose that I can throw drop shots and shakey heads on, but still throw other finesse stuff on there. My budget is around ~100, but can probably push 120. The reel I can figure out later. Thanks!
Hey guys. I’m finishing up building my wading set-up for sling season, and after talking to a fantastic gentleman at a local fly shop he recommended I get a pair of (prescription) sunglasses to help with glare. These will mostly be for small/medium stream and river trout fishing. Was wondering what ppl here use and their experiences. I’ve heard Oakley, Smith, Costa are great. Thanks in advance
Hey yall! I’m sure this post has been made before, but I’m looking for some advice on buying waders. I’m a 5’2” and around 170lb dude, and I’m looking to buy my first pair of waders for spring trout fishing after having a really great fall season just (coldly) wet wading in hiking boots with my UL rod. Does anyone have any recommendations on brands that are around ~$200-$300. I know waders can get expensive and them being my first ones I don’t want to spend too much on them. Also I’d appreciate any advice I can get! Thanks!
