In the post announcing that the downshifts would be legal and the PFP will get some amount of integration in future downshifts, Gavin Verhey stated that the playability of Zeta packs was not considered, they were not looked at by designers and were made purely as a product to sell.
This leaves us with an incredibly simple fix for every single upcoming potential SL Set, don't alter the printed rarity of the cards. It does not really matter what rarity is printed on the card in a SL Booster, all that matters is the rarity slot it is assigned within the pack. Cut Down doesn't need to be printed with a C on it and called a common to simply take a common slot in the packs.

Every time I'm at my taco bell it's an insane playlist of like sad girl covers of random songs, is it like a corporate playlist or is it just my local store? Glendale one I heard a sad girl cover of numb by Linkin Park followed by a sad girl cover of Beautiful Things by Benson Boone and I just need to know what these are. It's like walking into an uncanny alternate reality I swear to God.
Reported slurs used as insults several times and all have been no action taken and not against guidelines. Free reign to call anyone whatever you want over there.
Coming back to this well after the initial drama wound down because while thinking it over this was basically the exact same controversy we'd seen a rule change over 3 times in the past. For anyone who hasn't been around, three notable and highlighted matches were won off weird rules technicalities that cause a fundamental change to the rules of mtg.
A pithing needle was played naming borborygmos, to stop a deck that intended to win with a combo using borborygmos ENRAGED. Borborygmos was completely unplayable in the format, a legal card for a deck but one literally no one was playing. Everyone including the opponent fully understood the pithing needle to be on borborygmos enraged. Seein
Buyback {X} (You may pay an additional {X} as you cast this spell. If you do, put this card into your hand as it resolves.)
If I buyback a card I've stolen, could I put a card I don't own into my hand? Or is there a CR note that states the owner of the card gets the buyback? I know it's not exactly the most common keyword but putting together a theft deck and wondering how that works.
Have a store that's completely no proxies, but need a playset of lotus petal for multiple decks. Doesn't strictly need to pass any tests, but I'd like it to be good enough someone would believe I bought it at a garage sale for cheap and just assumed it was real if I got called on it. BL/Ron seems like it would be pretty pricey because of shipping for me, so I don't really have the budget to try out multiple people. Does anyone have a recommendation for where they've personally gotten a good lotus petal?
I've seen multiple versions of poison storm that don't play Lotus Petal and seem to put up similar results. I'm interested in cycle storm but since I play on paper I'd need to drop nearly $200 for a playset. Store also isn't proxy friendly so I'd have to actively cheat if I was going to try and save money. How much is lotus petal responsible for the deck working? Is it the difference between like a turn 4 vs turn 5 kill? Or is it literally the card that makes the deck?
