Hi, first time Redditor but I had to talk this out. I'm a golf hole, not a glamourous career but an honest one. Nobody ever really gives me much thought, but the other day this cocky assistant pro and wannabe golf bro are duking it out and it was hard to mind my own business.
Firstly, golf-bro tries to pick the ball up 3 feet away from me (well, it was more like 5 but you know how it is.) Firstly, guys, don't do that. I work hard for my living, and the course pays us per hole-out. My family can't survive on miracle pitch-ins and 40 footers. Make your damned putts, you lazy sods.
Anyway, the pro makes him putt out (respect), and he lips out. I could see clear as day and knew in my heart of
Hi I've been learning piano for a couple years in between work. Have worked through Alfred's book, can play songs like The Entertainer, Have Yourself a Merry Christmas etc and have been practicing simple pop songs like Blowin in the Wind and working on chords.
I really want to learn Fur Elise but even a simplified arrangement is killing me. I can play the melody fine, but the jumps in the left hand from A-E-A to E-E-G# and back again, even at a painfully slow pace, are leaving me lost without looking down after a few passes.
Beyond just trying to practice that move over and over, are there any exercises or practice routines you could recommend to help with navigating larger intervals? I th
I was driving recently and came to a sign that said "watch for cyclists." I thought it was very useful...except it didn't say when. I sat at that roundabout for 3 hours, and nothing. It must have been a really big race, too, because there were like 400 people queuing up to see them by the end of it. I mean, I had places to go, but you can't give up first in line for an event like that. Anyway, I never saw a bike but the celebrant was really good about rescheduling.
Just played my first round with a DF3 and honestly, best thing I've ever bought for golf. Switching from a Scotty, the biggest difference was in the weighting. Feels heavier in my hands and lighter in the head. Took a few rolls on the practice green to get the distance right but it wasn't as big a factor as I thought it might be.
It's only one round so I won't get carried away with putts I did or didn't make, but EVERYTHING rolled on the line I intended. Didn't miss from inside 5 feet all day. I didn't hit a single bad putt. No three putts. This from a 10 handicap who normally hits at least 5 pushes or pulls in a round.
I've been struggling for a while with arc depth. My low point is ahead of the ball, but I'd often still hit the ball thin and not contact the ground at all.
It occured to me that on a practice swing this wasn't an issue, and that maybe it was because I was focusing on the top of the ball, which is obviously higher than the ground.
Played around looking at the turf a few cm in front of the ball in some drills, and today on course, and it's the best I've struck irons in my life. Great contact, great divots..didn't skinny anything and didn't got any off the toe which normally accounts for about 30% of my shots.
Anybody else not look at the ball when playing? It was hard at first to really fo
Hi,
What tools are people using to diarise change to unpublished schedules. EG: Training that needs to be added in 3 months and has set times and dates, but the schedule isn't that far out yet.
I know that I could use One Note, I could use Excel, but what I've thought of so far is just a bit 'meh' and I'm trying to think of some methods that are a bit more dynamic. Possibly something with MS Lists, but something where I could automate some prompts, check stuff off, change due dates, etc.
TL;DR - Is there anything other than the obvious programs that you use to keep a diary of future events?
We're going live with Purecloud in 4 weeks. Anybody know how I can set up a report that displays Agent call data, per agent, separated by Queue?
Saw a couple last night, including the Daicos one on the wing, and just now watching Hawks Freo, where a player has 1 arm free that's holding the ball, gets their other pinned or chicken-winged and can't access their feet. Inevitably, these get paid HTB regardless of prior. I don't get it. If you've got no legal way to dispose of it, and had no prior, how is it any different to having the ball pinned against you? We're happy balling that up because it can't be disposed of, but leave 1 arm loose and you're screwed.
Hi,
I work in a contact centre with a kind of management-by-committee where Team Leaders have a lot of say in things, the manager doesn't give a lot of clear direction under the guise of empowerment, and it leads to inconsistent approaches.
In the WFM side of things, I'm talking about scheduling meetings/training without consulting me, changing queues without them being documented or followed-up on, and a lot of "I am doing this" instead of "Can I do this?"
I'm hoping to hear of similar and different experiences that I can use to put towards a suggested operating procedure and get some of the cooks out of the kitchen.
