Most of us by now have seen the lex fridman and sam altman podcast. In the podcast, sam seems to be pretty skeptical about how advanced gpt4 actually is. He's optimistic about the future and thinks that soon enough we will see an AGI, but he's saying gpt10 and beyond for AGI. All the while, microsoft is making claims that gpt4 has sparks of AGI in it. So who is right? The guy who is running the company who actually makes the AI, or a company who is simply investing in it? Same doesn't seem like the type to be needlessly skeptical, if anything, he seems like he's be overly optimistic about things. So if a guy like that is saying that gpt4 has a lot of limitations to it, then maybe microsoft i

Anyone else experience a bug in chapter 7 where after you destroy the asteroid tethers and launch the asteroid, it doesn't update your mission log and you can't progress further in the game? I can't reload an earlier save either since it only lets you access the last 4 saves the every save is after I launched the asteroid. I'm on PC with an m.2 ssd as well. This is really frustrating because aside from this bug, its been an amazing game and I really wish I could finish it but I don't have time to restart from the beginning.
Am I hurting my dog emotionally when I run away from her? I'll run from her and she can't catch me. She seems really distraught when she can't catch me. She yelps and cries and it sounds like I'm beating her but nothing is actually happening to her. When she finally catches me she seems like she is having a blast and is super hyped up like she's having fun, but before that she seems like she's getting beaten by me. Is it just excitement or am I harming her psychologically? Now that I typed this question out I feel stupid and will stop actually.
We don't really know how old he is. My fiance got him about 8 years ago but he was a rescue. He is probably around 9-10. Chocolate lab. He has health issues related to food allergies and tore his ACL about 2 months ago on a walk. He was limping for a bit but seemed to gain most of his mobility back and kinda just had a limp for a while. Then, like a fucking idiot, I decided to start taking him for walks again, just short ones, because I didn't want him getting depressed. Then on one of the walks, he started limping REALLY bad, to the point where he couldn't put any weight on his one leg. Now, about two weeks later, he can barely get around, and its almost like both legs are completely fucked
I constantly forget things. I can't remember peoples names. Simple concepts are difficult for me to wrap my head around. People make comments to me about it all the time. Even sometimes people make fun of me and I can't think of a comeback or response. I struggle to comeback with anything and when I do its just weak and then all I can do is get mad. When people are talking to me I usually get lost and lose attention to what they're saying. Sometimes my girlfriend will be saying something to me and I'll maybe be paying attention to 1/5 of it. Sometimes when I'm reading a sentence or listening to someone talk, the sentence won't sense to me. If I'm watching youtube, I have to rewind the senten
I'm looking at getting a 3080 ti. As with all GPUs, there are a few different companies that make them. My question is this. Is it worth it to spend an extra 200-400 dollars on a higher priced GPU if they are both 3080 tis?
The first one is the one I was going to get, its the lowest price I could find for that card. But I've noticed other cards that I far higher priced but also have a way bigger
I'm on Children of Dune. I'm aware of the general direction the story is going in but understanding it has been painful. There is so much terminology in the book that makes understanding anything really difficult. Its gotten to the point where I have almost lost the will to keep reading at this point. I feel like I'm constantly only half aware of what is happening in the story because I'm constantly getting lost in overly complex dialogue and weird terminology. I want to read it because I think the lore is interesting, but actually digesting these books has been flat out painful. I don't want to quit, but I've been slowly forcing myself to read the same book for like 2 weeks because I have s
Does anyone here know of any comparable projects? Someone that would be competition for Ultra?
So, I see all of these videos by Anthony Pompliano and Michael Saylor claiming that bitcoin will topple evil governments and corporations and free humanity. They make it seem like its revolutionary, like it will free the common man and give them power and freedom. I don't see it. I'm not claiming its not true, I'm just not understanding. I get that the government can't control bitcoin. But just because the government can't control it, doesn't mean that the average person owning it will be free from their governments and corporations. I'm free in the sense that the government doesn't know I own it and so I can buy things they don't know about, but this doesn't really change anything for the c
Is there another sub that does give advice? I can't afford to see a therapist but want to keep working out so I need someone to give me some pointers on how to make my arm feel better.
With such huge institutional adoption, potential for regulation, and mainstream adoption, will the crypto market crash again, and if it does, would it be such a steep crash like how it was last cycle? The stock market doesn't move in such volatile cycles, and my instinct is that neither will crypto once its been mass adopted. Maybe it crashes again this cycle, but maybe instead of losing 80% of its value, it loses 50%. Still a lot compared to the stock market, but as it becomes ubiquitous, I think it will be less and less until it has more predictable price patterns.
Sent my eth to the exchange. Made sure the key was correct and that I wasn't sending it to the wrong address. Its been almost 5 hours and still no sign of my eth. Could it be that the network is so congested from people trying to sell that my shit just isn't appearing on the exchange. Its not a small amount either so I'm getting a little worried.
