When I first got the game, I was really enjoying the fear/unknown. Walking through areas felt proper risky, dangerous. Not sure what the different anomaly's did, running when I heard NFT radio chatter...

But now, even with a new account, I pretty confidently sprint through everything. Tag a few enemies, start the snowball until I have a whole set of armor, ammo, artifacts only a few hours in. The fact that the AI is kind of dumb once you know how to cheese it doesn't help.

To slow down the gameplay I pretty much always take thin-skin and heavy-footed to add challenge. I also avoid guns that I find OP, like the assassin rifle (or anything silenced except maybe a pistol).

Do you guys take

Looking for some advice route planning. Will be in Whitefish, MT late May, 5 day trip.

From east coast FYI so my knowledge of western things is limited.

Not looking to over think things, so I found this one rather quickly

First question, snowpack. I know that it can last until late July. But with the limited snowfall this year + the route in question would I be in trouble?

Since I have 5 days, and this is more like a 2-3 day trip, I was thinking bringing a hardtail and adding on some single track along the way. For example, Riding up to Tuchuck Mountain was

Anyone had experience with these boots? I am normally a 44, mens 10.5. Talked with the folks at telemarkdown and they recommended a 43 since the boots aren't small. If they were hiking boots they'd be comfortable, but downhill (madshus annum on 3pin) I feel like my foot isn't locked down onto the sole. Further, I feel the laces bite into my instep. So it's like they're too tight AND too loose?

Not sure if I should cut my losses and try again with a 42, or if this is just how Crispi boots are?

I got a specialized Fuse, came with Purgatory's front and back. After having one front washout on pine needles and learning why it happened, tires was one suspect (and yes, I am working on my technique too)

Basically I learned that a lot of people like the Purgatorys... as a rear tire. Am I missing out significantly by having it up front, too?

My plan was to just wear out the purgatorys and when the rear one is dead, put the front one on back and get a new, aggressive tire up front. But maybe I should just buy a new front tire and keep the second purgatory as a spare? I'm new to MTB so I can't really compare. I just don't want to be missing out if a better front tire will elevate my ridin

Title, I'm getting ready for a through paddle next spring and part of that is getting a boat. I've through paddle the NY section in a swift cruiser and that felt excellent for everything except the rapids. Also it was a rental so anxiety inducing to hit a rock.

Looking for a used solo canoe that I could paddle single and double blade. A long fast pack boat is an option but nothing really good for a fair price.

Considering boats like Wenonah wilderness, advantage... Also deciding if kevlar is really worth it or if I could get by with some wheels. I'm leaning towards non-kevlar to save money.

To be honest I'll do it with anything I can get my hands on, but any insight is helpful

Question is the title. Looking for some trip planning advice. There's a thousand ways to skin a cat, looking most scenic and FUN. I'm planning on taking the Empire Trail South home, so I'd prefer a different route North.

I'll be riding on 27.5 x 2.2 tires so I'm not afraid of some chunkier gravel. In fact I'd prefer it

Additional question, if anyone has recommendations for sights to see in Canada please let me know!
