My friends and I had just finished the crater and leveled up some weapons and ran to the boss arena. The boss was an ancient dragon and it all seemed pretty normal. When we had finished the fight we noticed there was no drop and we were all confused. We then saw health bars for a crucible knight and hippo pop up and had to beat them too. After that we got the rewards and moved on beating the nightlord but we were so confused. Has this happened to anyone else? Is it part of the game and we just didn’t know about it? I’m curious to see if anyone else has encountered something like this because I haven’t seen anything about it.
I am doing the taking French leave mission and I found the hidden entrance but I don’t have a spade. Is there one lying around that I’m not seeing or do I need to go buy one? If I have to go get one where can I do that?
Thanks

I played the game 2x on my Xbox series S with about 200 hours of play time. Beat the dlc and everything. I just got a ps5 and I’m wondering if I should get Elden ring on sale ($35) to play on a better console with higher graphics and frame rate. Is the difference big enough to justify getting the game again?
I started with Elden ring and moved to bloodborne pretty quickly. I’ve recently beat dark souls remastered and want to give this game a shot despite how 50/50 it seems to be. Half seem to love it and the rest hate it. Any tips for someone going in with no knowledge of the game? Are the run backs worse than DSR? Are the level caps similar? And what is ADP?
I came from Elden ring/bloodborne and it took me a while to understand just how different this game is from the newer ones. Still loved it despite some hiccups along the way.
10/10, praise the sun.
I just beat Seath first try. Took me 15+ runs to even get there but when I started the fight I could not be stopped. I crushed with the claymore and I’m pretty sure I just need the four kings and Nito so wish me luck.
I don’t know why but it took me 2 characters and a lot of hours to really get into it. I stumbled into sif’s boss fight and it all changed. The music, the mechanics, all of it clicked. I think I am officially addicted to this game. I loved Elden ring and bloodborne but there’s something special about this game. I can’t tell you what it is but I love it, because of DSR I am going to play the DS trilogy to chase this feeling. 10/10 game.
I just beat sif (post lordvessel) and I don’t really know where to go next. Is there another boss I need to beat in this area?
I cannot for the life of me beat these guys. I’m at the first fire of Anor Londo with the main gate unlocked. I’ve got 5 humanity so hopefully we can get this done quick.

I’m by the entrance
I just got the DLC not too long ago and want to start a new character. I ran a strength build and played like an absolute caveman but now I want to try a bloodtinge or arcane build. From what I’ve seen the chikage looks pretty cool but if there’s another weapon y’all recommend I’m open to it. I’d also appreciate leveling/strategy advice as I’ve heard these builds are a little more complex.
I’m fighting the iron golem and I saw you can summon iron Tarkus to help with the fight. Do I have to complete a side quest in order to summon him?
