Anyone with experience in the dot com bubble able to shed some objective wisdom?

Looking for a compare and contrast related to the dotcom bubble and the upcoming NFT boom.

From my understanding the DOTCOM bubble was filled with a bunch of startups that only had a website but basically no real business. They all went public, but because they weren't "anything" of real value, they all crashed.

So some main questions would be: Was that really the case? Did the "websites" really do nothing? Did they have no assets or solid ideas to back them up?

Looking at NFT's, there is a huge boom happening with NFT's and games. There are many tokens and new NFT projects popping up raking in millions or e

The amount of money being made in cryptocurrency/blockchain is a natural progression. For centuries, you literally had to be born into some royal family or some nobility in order to even have a shot. Think of monarchs and ancient traditions with "keeping it in the bloodline." If you were anything less than the "middle tier" of society, you were stuck there.

This quickly accelerated as industrialization and hard work (REALLY REALLY hard work) helped drive innovation, and you could work your way to the top. Think 1700's to 1800's. But you still needed to be born in the right city and add a lot of value.

If the value of a community driven cultural meme can thrive and reach tens of billions of dollars, the value of a platform or technology built on blockchain is arguably worth much more. Only caveat is technology depends on the

The only thing that could sell faster than a popular VEVE set is something from Kanye West. Worth letting sink in for a second.

Sure the common and uncommon items of less popular NFT's stick around for a bit but a majority of the items literally sell out in less than a minute. Even a minute might be long. The real time estimate is probably something like 20 seconds.

Multiply that buy thousands of units per release. It's fascinating from a business perspective.
