Hi all

We are about to complete on our first home and I just wanted to ask some practicalities, mainly around utilities and how we go about registering for them?

I understand we should do meter readings as soon as we get the keys, but then who do I contact to provide these? Do I have to initially stay with the same providers the previous occupants were using/how would I know who these are? Or can I just immediately look around and sign up for octopus for instance?

Appreciate it’s probably super simple in reality but worth asking

Other than that, some good tips for things to do straight away are greatly appreciated
