Hi! A couple of months ago I assembled my first tracker made on the base of a motorized mount from a satellite antenna. It turned out well — it pulled 300mm for 120 seconds — but I already want something more serious and I want to build my own equatorial mount on two axes. But there’s a nuance: the worm gear is expensive, and I have an idea to make everything with gears for a GT2 belt. I don’t know if this is a good method and if it’s worth doing?
