I bought a used slim PS3 off eBay that came with the oem DS3 controller. The controller works perfect, but behaves weird when booting up. For example -

I can start the system with the controller wirelessly, but it never slots into P1, P2, etc. ...the lights just blink as if it weren't paired. I can then plug it into the USB, and it will locate P1, I can unplug and play wirelessly. I tried resetting with a paperclip via back button but that did not resolve.

I wouldn't think it is the Bluetooth because it works when I unplug it (after being plugged in until it finds P1). Could it be the controller? I really don't want to buy a new/used controller but would if there is no other solution...j

If it is my first playthrough, and in advance I know I want to try to save my family, should I play on Normal or Easy/Story difficulty? I didn't know how difficult this game is compared to similar RPGs...

Or, should I just play on normal, take my time and not worry about saving family for first playthrough?

I am encountering problems splitting Iso's into smaller files to fit on USB for transferring to HD of CFW PS3. Some work perfectly, others immediately split and do not show up on USB. I have tried multiple Iso files from Rom's Megathread as well as Vimm's lair (MGS4) but all split immediately and do not transfer to USB.

I feel like I am missing something small here, any ideas?

I want to take the plunge and buy a PS3 to install CFW on but almost all I have seen online have FW 4.93 updates already. I keep getting different answers depending on where I look, but it sounds like I can load the Evilnat 4.93 CFW which is somewhat recent and that is truly CFW vs the HFW? Any particular online guide to follow you can recommend?

I have modded a DC, GC and handhelds but am new to PS3 ideas so any help/explanation much appreciated!!

I purchased the Mak's tech picloader solderless kit + SD2SP2 pro and attempted installation and ran into 2 issues -

1. My DOL-001 Gamecube does not have a Serial 2 port. I didn't know this was a thing, so just started the install without checking to ensure that my DOL-001 had the serial 2 port. One I got to the SD2SP2 install portion, obviously couldn't do it. (I did order a GC2SD to try that route)

2. Out of curiosity, I booted the gamecube with the Picoloader but no SD card. Gamecube boots to normal menu but then an error pops up telling me to check the Gamecube instruction booklet.

Does the second error mean I screwed up the ribbon install or would I get this regardless without a SD c

I ran the update script am able to play PS1, SNES, etc. but Mega CD and Saturn dont appear to be launching. I think I am missing the Bios/Cores? Specifically on Saturn, I get "CD BIOS not found" and black screen when attempting to open ROM. I got all the ROM files from Internet archive, same as other consoles.

My preorder just left China, so wanted to digest as much as possible prior to arriving. Is there an online guide, Youtube video, etc. anyone recommends? I have an Analogue Pocket and modded a Dreamcast with a GDEMU....no other knowledge of how to use this thing but eager to learn and get the most. I am looking for general use, adding games/cores, adding retro achievements etc.

I at least have a tracking # as of this AM. The "Parcel information has been received" at least.

I did not expect to get one before Summer.

Hello, after modding my Dreamcast with GDEMU, DC adaptor power, etc. I decided to give the Gamecube a run! I have a pico loader kit on the way along with a SD2SP2. Since that is all I know, any other modifications I should make? I am comfortable with anything that doesn't require soldering!

I am able to boot up the 4 player Rom just fine (only play as Marge), but for some reason, I can't get any of the 2 player world sets to load. For example, I used the tool to create the "Simpss2p.rom" for the 2 player to work following the same process. The game goes to a black screen, loads with the white bar and then nothing happens. I am using the files from the JT creator's Patreon, any ideas on how to fix or what might be happening?

My 8BitDo 64 rumble works on Goldeneye cartridge, not on Goldeneye on SummerCart 64. Additionally, rumble works on Goldeneye on SummerCart 64 with wired controller/3rd party rumble pak and on the goldeneye cartridge. I am truly baffled. Any ideas?

Is there some sort of issue with Epic Joy SummerCarts and the 8BitDo 64 controllers rumble feature? My friend has exact same problem on his Analogue + SummerCart + 8BitDo rumble not working.

My rumble pak works fine with my actual n64 cartridges but not with the SummerCart I got off Ali from Epic Store. When I launch the SummerCart and go to settings, it says "rumble_enabled: Off". It also says, "To change the settings, please adjust them directly in the 'menu/config.ini' file". Any idea how to do that or can anyone paste what their config.ini looks like?

Ordered a PS Vita 1000 from Japan and it finally comes today after a blizzard delay! Any reason I shouldn't jailbreak it? I know the store is still open, will jailbreaking it disqualify me from purchases or playing online? I also don't want to get my ps account banned. Thanks in advance from a Vita newb!

I attempted to install a GDEMU (Bitfunx) on my VA1 Dreamcast today. After doing so and powering on, the screen goes black for a couple seconds and then the Dreamcast logo displays and that’s it. I can reinstall the optical drive and everything works no issues.

My (128gb micro) SD card I purchased from someone that said it was ready to go. I see the GDEMU.ini and folders for different games on the card when connected to a PC. It says it’s FAT32 formatted but I also must add it’s a cheap “Patriot” micro SD and using an “Amazon Basics” SD adaptor.

Any ideas? I wouldn’t think it’s the PSU because optical drive works fine. That being said - once I got this working then proceeding with DreamPS
