Recently I've been thinking about Chuck's beliefs about electromagnetic radiation and how it supposedly affects him. We know that Chuck is a logical guy and seems to believe there is a scientific medical basis for the effect that radiation has on him. But, since I'm a physics graduate, I've been wondering what he actually knows about how radiation works and what scientific knowledge (or lack of) justify his beliefs and actions in the show.
Which part of the electromagnetic spectrum does he think affects him? I think it can't be the visible part of the spectrum, because he's perfectly okay carrying around a gas lantern and using light (he would get some infrared this way too). Everyday elect
