So my gorgeous 15 year old boy has a stage 5 heart murmur.

He was dumped as a kitten, too young to be away from mum, at deaths door. I think as a result of this early malnutrition he's never had good teeth and has had many extractions throughout the years

At our last vet check a few months ago she said he had an abscess in his tooth so antibiotics and pain relief were prescribed. All fixed . She did say that he wasn't a viable candidate for general anaesthetic to remove the problem tooth (one of maybe 5 he has left)because of his heart, that he would likely not survive it.

However he now seems in some discomfort and is rubbing his mouth against anything (usually my fingers!) seemingly loo

I'm not sure where else to ask the question , I'm worrying about taking my walking/hiking pole into Anfield Stadium and having it confiscated.

I've looked at the stadium Ts&Cs and it seems ambiguous - if something can be used as a weapon it can't be taken in. I obviously won't be using it as a weapon but technically I suppose it could be used as one.

We've got seats and although I'm not disabled, I'm just a 47 year old with a dodgy hip that needs a bit of extra support if I'm walking or standing a lot. As we will likely be walking some way to and from the stadium, and with the potential of climbing steps to the seats, I'm going to need it. I don't have any medical exem

I don't even know if this is the right sub but have searched a few to no avail so please be kind if I'm wrong! (and advice on where to head instead).

My son (12.5) has asked for a gaming PC for Christmas. We're in England.

He's never had a PC - he plays on our PS4 (Fortnite, Call of Duty, all different games). He has a laptop for school work but doesn't use it for anything else.

My questions are:

Is £300-£400 an adequate price range (it's going to be a whole-family contribution in lieu of different presents)

He's sent me this link on Amazon, is it any good? Is there a better place to buy from? https://amzn.eu/d/0FQkuA2

Will he be able to build on to a basic setup if he so wishes?

Quick info - I have PTSD following a terrorist attack, I've had counseling and it really helped. It's many years ago and generally nowadays I don't get triggered often, although it does happen occasionally and with very specific noises or unexpected news items about the attack.

Earlier today I was involved in a very minor car shunt - a car backed into me. The person then driving refused to cooperate with insurance and got aggressive toward me.

Thankfully they didn't attack me, but I called the police who attended and sorted everything out (they're uninsured which is a pain, but their car got seized so karma!) It was all very low key, non dramatic and ultimately my car is insured for the

It seems the peasants are revolting, they're not a bit happy.

I personally only use MN on a shitty old android phone so it doesn't look too different to me. Haven't got an issue myself and there's a few bits I like (having Active, Trending and New tabs is quite good).

It's a nightmare on a desktop apparently.

There are a few threads but this is the one I was reading : https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/4534112-to-wonder-what-happened-overnight?page=2

Podcasts for a bored cleaner!

General Podcast Discussions

Hi, I'm desperate for new content but am getting swamped with the suggestions on the Amazon Music app. Keep trying new podcasts and being disappointed! Do I need a better app? If so - which one?

I live in England, am a house cleaner and can listen anything 2-6 hours a day. I'm early 40s, settled down with SO and children ranging from under 10 to late teens. Love comedy: series, stand up, anything really. Quite like a bit of history but nothing too dark. Same with True Crime.

So, if I like :

*True Crime and Cocktails

*British Scandal

*The Office Deep Dive (I love everything US Office)

*Parenting Hell (UK comedians discuss parenthood and interview fellow celebs)

*Radio Times (UK T

Following on from who realistically would post whilst under extreme stress with a hospitalised loved one, I thought this was a good example of a real cry for help rather than just a drama llama.

Had I been in a fit state to post on Mumsnet when in a scarily similar situation a few months ago, everything this OP types very much reflects my experience. Being updated sporadically, the not knowing, even waiting ages for the call to get through to the ICU and then feeling bad for disturbing the staff for an update.

Everything about it shows how real people, in my experience, would post when in a scary situation looking for support BUT with no ulterior motive.
