New house has 2gpbs speeds and looking to pick up a ubiquiti product - what recommendations do you have?
I’m about to graduate and I am in my final semester. I used ChatGPT as an inexhaustible TA - asking questions about material, testing my understanding, taking pictures of handwritten proofs/derivations and converting them to latex for reports etc.
According to faculty who have posted to OMS subreddits, this all seems above the board and not academic dishonesty but I always have this horrible anxiety each semester that I’m going to “get caught” for something even though my work is 100% my own.
Does anyone else struggle with this? What even are the guidelines for something being reported to OSI?
Storm rolled through, lightning everywhere, now internet won't connect.
It says I am connected but I currently do not have service - I reset the router and the whole nine-yards.
Anyone else having internet problems? Currently located in OTR/Clifton
Reading through the syllabus and it is unclear how the quizzes are administered - any insight?
Just like the other thread, but like, opposite
I’m a senior analyst who works in marketing analytics. I work for a centralized team and I am “dotted” line to two internal products and I help them try to understand how their marketing impacts user behavior.
Well - we have a really terrible culture where whenever something goes wrong or when the data doesn’t tell the “right” story it is because “Analytics didn’t get us everything that we needed”.
For example, I take requirements for analysis (learning agenda) and create a PPT deck that I present back to the stakeholders. I’m proud of my work product: executive summary, recommendations, 10+ slides with different figures/KPIs etc. but if the story points out any type of weak spot in th

I see implications for this project for my company.
Would there be any issues if I kept working on the project after the course completes and use it towards the practicum?

Given the strap is Crocodile, would there be any issues with customs/import on the watch?
I have 2 docker projects that I want to communicate with each other but have 1 public facing the internet, and the other only accessible via my LAN/local internet access.
1 project has VaultWarden in it. I don't want this to be accessible outside my local internet access (i.e. I would connect to a VPN on my local network to access the front end/web GUI for this). However, I need my webserver (Caddy) to be public facing so that it can handle the Let's Encrypt communication for VaultWarden.
Does anyone have any documentation that shows this type of integration? I.e. two separate docker-compose.yml files that communicate with each other but have different access to the public internet?

Noticed Ezra is wearing what looks like an oversized Oxford cloth button down - I like the fit, do you know where the shirt is from?
In lieu of ISYE 6414 and being 6 courses deep into the program, I've started to reflect on my OMSA experiences so far and am curious about what other's thoughts are.
I strongly believe there is a difference between courses that are hard vs. easy, fair vs. unfair, and, most importantly, organized vs. unorganized
A class can be hard, fair, and organized meaning that I could earned a C in the course and still find it a rewarding learning experience. On the flip side, a class can be easy, unfair, and unorganized - I could know the material but having an unfair exam weighting (e.g. 80% of the course grade being exams) or just facing constant logistical issues all of which leads me to underperfo
I remember that this sub used to be MVOTC themed and then switched to the current theme for FOTB - Where is the OGWAU design?
Just finished DVA this semester and have some thoughts on the course.
I see a lot of discourse on this subreddit surrounding DVA and even one sour grapes Ed discussion post bemoaning how “awful” a class DVA is.
Truthfully, if you get a good group (and you really should focus on interviewing class mates and make sure you are bringing something to the table) the course is pretty much a breeze.
3 out of the 4 homeworks are pretty easy to get 100%, tons of extra credit, and very generous project grading.
Homework 1 I really enjoyed being forced to think in a more OOP framework - and the graph problem was interesting
Homework 2 is the dreaded D3.js but you really can just get a 40-60% on t
Hi everyone,
I am an experienced data analyst looking for feedback on my resume. Interested in pursuing data science or analytics engineering style roles. Currently enrolled in Georgia Tech's OMSA program and really enjoying it.
Most of my day-to-day is spent coding analysis work in python - if possible, I'd like to move away from marketing departments (which I currently service) and have less PPT work on my plate (lot's of monthly reporting asks vs. analytics asks...)
