We're in the process of buying a 4 bed dormer bungalow / house in the South East for £550k, around 150m2 plus garage and about 0.25 acre plot, built ~1970 and extended ~2000. The initial viewing we were aware of some water damage to a dormer and looked to be due to some lifted tiles plus a leaky flat garage roof. I'm reasonably handy and that's the sort of thing I would be comfortable sorting myself. I'm also not sure if it was originally constructed with the dormer or if that's an addition since it was built but before planning permissions are easily accessible digitally.

However the survey has identified further damage to the roof that we couldn't see and the Level 2 Homebuyer Survey re

We're a fair way through the process of buying a property (offers accepted, chain complete, solicitors instructed and our searches for the property are due back in a few weeks).

However the seller has now received an offer for £15k more at £555k and are considering it. Their agent has said that if we can increase by a grand or so or that £545k would be certain.

However just from a moral perspective we're half tempted to not move or tell them to get stuffed. However we really love the house and could move a little but are torn.

Our buyer is a FTB and the new offer has 3 before them I believe. The agent seems to be advocating for us but we're a bit done with it to be honest.

It's been a while since I've bought cars. I used to buy and sell a lot 10 or so years back and a lot has seemingly changed since then.

We're in the market for a little electric second car for my wife (I have an electric company car and have got on really well with it and I think my partner is convinced now). Especially for the mileage she does of about 50 miles to work and back each week.

However as per the title, I really don't understand the pricing on the cars we've been looking at (E208, Kona and Niro).

I've seen a lot of private sellers pricing at dealer prices and seemingly unwilling to budge but then dealer prices are reasonable competitive and I understand they now price realist

I've not done one of these before so we'll see how this goes! My Steam ID: https://steamcommunity.com/id/ENWOD/

All of the games listed below are Steam keys and I'll be able to message the key directly to you.

Please follow the sub rules and I'll private message the winner of each title as quickly as I can. I had a change of plans and will issue them randomly using the ?sort=random a bit later this evening as that seems fairer.

For the most part I believe all of these are Steam keys only and I'm based in the UK in case that limits gifting options. There are also a couple that I can't remember if I redeemed or just revealed the key from Humble Bundle and not sure how to check other than t

Clearing out some old PC bits and tech stuff I've had lying about for a while. All from a smoke free home and will be cleaned before buyer receives any items.

I'm based near Colchester, Essex but travel across the South East for work and so could potentially deliver. I'd prefer collection (especially for some of the larger items but may be able to post at buyers expense). Not sure if it's worth selling most of these items but would rather someone have them than they go in the bin.

Listed items and prices / condition below:

  • HTC Vive - VGC and all working; I've replaced the lenses with the Gear VR Lenses (which reduces god rays). Also have some additional VR Covers and all original packag

Would prefer not to post but I live in the South East (Colchester) and drive around most of it for work and so would be happy to deliver if you're conveniently close to where I visit for work or a bit further for a small cost: Peterborough, Fakenham, Corby and East London are places I regularly visit

**Gen8 Microserver. Recently upgraded as I needed more HDD space but perfectly usable and great little server and has lasted me a fair few years.

I've replaced / upgraded the CPU from a G1610T to the i3 3240 that's in it now as well as added x2 8GB s

Hi all,

I'm giving Manjaro a go and hoping to make the switch long term if I can iron out a few niggles.

My main one being that I currently use a programme called Argus monitor on my Windows partition which enables case fans to be controlled via GPU temps as well as custom fan curves etc.

I'd like an equivalent for Manjaro but can't seem to find a way around this currently. Ideally a GUI would be great but happy to try a script or terminal but not sure if a solution exists?cheers for any help :)

Hi all,

I've currently got a Dell R530 with X2 Intel® Xeon® CPU E5-2623 v4 @ 2.60GHz, 64gb of DDR4 ECC and about 7 3.5" drives.

I'm running Unraid and a variety of Dockers for media purposes as well as occasionally a game server for my friends and I.

I'm not massively keen on the form factor of a rack mount server (I don't have a rack and so it's on the floor in a cupboard) and haven't been too impressed with its performance in game servers (I think due to the low clock speed / IPCs).

I'm thinking of upgrading or selling this and using my Desktop CPU (A Ryzen 2700x and building a new NAS / Homeserver in a DIY case but I'm not sure if this would be an upgrade or a downgrade.

I'm not sure if we're crazy but our dog genuinely seems to understand mirrors.

He''s a Pembroke Corgi and will sit in front of mirrors with his back to us and observe us in the mirror. We can then point or show am item in the mirror and he'll snap his head around and look at us or the object behind him.

From what I've briefly read on this it seems like this isn't something dogs are capable of (or its us seeing meaning in something when there is none).

Does anyone elses dog do this / does this seem normal?

Hi all,

I got my first 3D printer yesterday (an Ender 3 V2).

I've set it up as best as I can after watching a few videos.

I've printed my first thing (the XYZ calibration cube)

http://imgur.com/gallery/Dit0z9u

I think this looks pretty good to be honest, I'm not sure if the slight banding on the XYZ faces is to be expected? I think I may have a bit too much material on the final face at the top?

I also don't think my nozzle is close enough on the initial later from the pictures. Is this correct? Does everything else look ok with this, I'm not sure what to be looking for tbh other than that. I'll print a few more things but appreciate any comments or pointers :) cheers.
