So I tried netplay briefly a while ago and remember it working exactly as Russ describes over at https://retrogamecorps.com/2021/01/12/guide-retroarch-netplay-on-handheld-devices/#First. There's no doubt in my mind that I saw 'local: anonymous' and then had 30 mins of amazing two player gameplay.

So now I'm trying it again, same steps, same game, but instead of 'local anonymous' at the bottom of the netplay server list I see 'internet: 351elec-2' - which is the name of the other rg351m I'm connecting to.

Trying it the opposite way around I see 'internet: 351elec-1', again no 'local: anonymous'

A while ago I posted asking after kids podcast content, which there's lots of but is kinda hard to find and seemingly without one place that I could let my kids loose to browser and listen without worry.

Well, I've finished a small project with my daughter that's been super fun to work on together and help me share a little of what I do with her and teach her the fundamentals of webdesign whilst also getting a bit of a podcast directory together.

This is a family project, mostly just for fun and our own listening, but if you have kids they might enjoy it too.

So spotify are buying up podcasts in order to build up their offering and, presumably, convince more people to download and pay for their software.

I get it, for creators this is brilliant, but for listeners?

I wasn't too fussed when Joe Rogan went Spotify exclusive, however hearing that the entire Gimlet output is about to go Spotify only really hurt my ears.

I'm happy with pocketcasts as my app of choice, but even without that; I just have zero interest in using spotify again.

I guess this is more of a whine than anything else, though I'm curious how far this will go. At least Stitcher and other paid platforms tend to still have ad supported episodes available elsewhere.

Between Story Pirates, Becoming Mother Nature, Big Fib, Finn Caspian, The Unexplainable Disappearance of Mars Patel and Earth Rangers my kids are getting really into podcasts.

I don't really want to just let them loose on pocketcasts or whatever, so I'm seeing out tips and recommendations on where I can find kid friendly podcasts without having to worry about them stumbling upon something they shouldn't hear (or just being bored searching through loads of irrelevant shows).

Any tips? And parents of reddit - what are your 'must listen' Kids podcasts be them narrative or otherwise?

Extra points if it's not Gen-Z media - though I do love them, someone else must be making kids shows too surel

I've been working on EatComplete.co for ages now and am super proud of it. If you've not seen it... why not? It's a news and reviews website around the Complete Food space.

I think I've got it to somewhere really great and I want to focus on trying to get as

I'm playing around with an idea and whilst I've seen a ton of DIY shake formula's shared on completefoods.co I've not found any RTE style DIY attempts.

Are there any out there?

Hey all.

I've been working on some pretty major updates to my little EatComplete.co website.

There's a lot of changes coming so I've started off with the review/info pages and just finished updating them.

I think it makes the information easier to quickly scan through and generally just easier on the eyes, but I'd love to hear what you think :)

Here's a couple examples, of course, Soylent: https://eatcomplete.co/review/soylent-drink/

And my current fave, Ambronite https://eatcomplete.co/review/ambronite-supermeal/

Held fire on this until I was a few episodes in but it's pretty different and turning into a surprising amount of fun...

It’s the night before his gastric-band operation and Corey is terrified. He’s 16 years old, weighs 300 pounds and has a BMI of 60*. However, if Corey doesn’t have the operation, his hypertension will literally make him blind. None of this stops him from stealing, in the dead of night, an electric motor-scooter from the hospital. He picks up his best friend Cassie, a recovering anorexic. Like Corey, Cassie has found solace in the jungle beats and liquid rhythms of D’n’B and they toast together all. the. time. Thing is, Corey has a plan.Eight miles away i
