I'm nearing the end of Metroid 2 (i think at least), and after having doubts of where Super and Fusion were placed in the franchise, I saw I skipped through the whole Prime trilogy.

This wasn't gonna be a problem since I wanted to play the 2d games first and the 3d games after, but I didn't want to miss parts of the story, even if the Prime games aren't mentioned in the 2D games

I have this question because, even if the asterisk in the timeline says they're not a core part of the story, it also says they're canon to the story, so I'm afraid I might miss something if I don't play them

So I've just finished Metroid: Zero Mission and it was amazing. I loved the game, and sadly I had to ask for help multiple times, but I really enjoyed the game (fuck the mother brain section though. I hated the overwhelming ammount of projectiles).

Now I have a dilemma, do I play AM2R or the 3DS remake?

I'll most likely play AM2R for the art style consistency (and because I prefer the pixel art style over the 3D art style), but I want to know what the better version is.

Guy who asked for a game to get into the franchise here, I've been playing Zero Mission this whole afternoon, and I'm having a great time. I love moving through the map and backtracking and stuff. It's kinda maze-y and sometimes I struggle with progressing and stuff, but when you figure it out it feels amazing. Right now I unlocked the little ceiling rail things and beat the worm thing in Kraid.

Since this is a remake, though, I wonder how it would be in the original game. Kinda makes me thankful I don't have to go through whatever jank the NES game might have

So I've been thinking about getting into Metroid, or playing some of the games, and I've thought about starting with Super Metroid, or playing Metroid Prime, but I wanted to know what the people from the Metroid sub had to say

I have an itch right now for 3D texture packs, but none that I found really scracth it. They make some things 3D (like doors, trapdoors, crafting tables, etc.), but planks, cobblestone, stone, and dirt, for example, are still flat.

Maybe I haven't looked hard enough, but I can't find a texture pack like that. Only one that comes to mind that could do it is one that I can't remember the name of

P.S: if there's a better sub to ask this in please tell me

I'm looking for a modpack/mods that has stuff like tinker's construct, thaumcraft, astral whatever (the mod with the constellations), just cool stuff with those types of mods (or those exact mods, too). It can be in old minecraft, new minecraft, whatever

Please give me your best recommendations.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that I'm looking for dungeons and structures, too

I don't know when the beta I played was made, but it had the normal reflection cubes, so I'm assuming it's from after those were finalised.

It had more content than Project 2009, but it was definitely more broken and unfinished (who could've guessed). I do prefer P2009's more connected chambers, and that it actually had the famous corehub (something I was surprised to not see in the beta, instead fading to black after getting to the glados chamber from before she woke up).

Playing these games made me realise how much I want a game like this and how much Portal 2 strayed away from Portal 1.

I genuinely wish Valve made a full game about this, with the Portal 1 look and aesthetic. It doesn

Just finished Project 2009

Discussion :core2pnk:

That was absolutely amazing. I adored every second of it, and now part of me wishes they'd done that instead of the Portal 2 we got. The idea of a decaying Aperture (different from what we got) and us having to move between unintended paths and hallways to access different rooms of the facility and test rooms is incredible. I hope someone releases the beta to be played from start to finish, I was left wanting more at the end of Project 2009. I doubt that they made a whole game and then scrapped it for the Portal 2 we got, but maybe it has more content to play.

There were times where I felt like that one meme of the guy in the taxi taking pictures, because some test chambers were just rippe

I've thought about this for a few days. Entry 17 says that something is getting darker and darker, and in chapter 2, Ralsei says the dark worlds are formed when the darkness gets darker. And in the survey program tweets, which were most likely gaster, it said that it was "very, very interesting", just like entry 17. There are also gaster followers in Deltarune that look completely fine (donut guy, the lil orange guy, and, obviously, normal_npc.

I don't know if this is something obvious, but I wanted to share this little theory I have
