Hey guys. I've got a lead on a black 470L (left handed), a 2004 version meaning it was the last of the MIJ ones. As such it has the 3 piece neck, the AANJ, Edge Pro trem, Wizard II neck (not Wizard I), and the v8, s1, v7 pickups.

From what I can tell, it's basically a 570 or 1570 without the Wizard neck.

Anyway. The price is $380. Does that seem fair? For some reason I've always regarded 470s as 'lesser' guitars but there's nothing in this spec sheet I can really complain about vs a higher end one or Prestige model and the slightly thicker neck might even be a good thing (I had an S540 and the neck was so thin it was lnt comfortable).

Hello, I've got a lead on a GS Graduate 60 from 1999. Basically their LP Standard variant - flame top, HH layout, and with their wraparound bridge and in-house humbuckers.

I can't play it ahead of time as it's 150 miles away but the price seems fair.

What's the general vibe on the quality of GS builds? They're from my hometown so it's quite appealing but just looking for feedback and how they potentially compare to a Gibson or Heritage, as I have those at home.

Morning. I'd like to add a switch to add a cap in parallel with the 470pf that's on the board. I'm ok on the switching mechanics, but the voltages gave me pause. The second peaker is after a 22n coupling cap, but is before the grid of the next tube. As such, I'm not sure if I can rig up a little dpdt and wire it in, or I'll just explode.

The 470pf will always be in circuit, but any advice would be appreciated.

Hello. I just got a new (to me) S1000BD. I love the watch but the clasp doesn't quite close properly due to a missing pin through the final link... I think it's a pin at least, I'm talking about the thing metal bar that connects link to link on the bracelet.

I just noticed another one of these 'pins' is poking out one side, and after pushing it back in it pops right back out.

Any ideas where I can source an appropriate replacement please? Original or otherwise? Thanks!

I couldn't think of a better word, but do helmets degrade/become less effective over time if they haven't been crashed?

It comes with this: SRAM Powerspline 73mm bb, with a 6mm offset on the stock chainring.

The chainring is done so I'm looking at this Funn with a 3mm offset:

That 3mm doesn't sound like a huge deal, but I'm new to this and don't want to have incompatible stuff and basically waste my money.

Could you kindly let me know if a) 3mm is all good on a stock 6mm offset, and b) a bit of a cheeky one but if there's anything I need to worry about installing this ring? (same amount of teeth)

I did search but couldn't find anything to cover the specifics: I'm picking up a bike this weekend after 5 years out due to a broken collarbone and subsequent avoidance/fear - picking up a 2020 Kona Kahuna in sweet purple, size L.

There's no dropper, and I've got a lead on a 150mm Reverb that's the same diameter (31,6) but I'm not sure on the length. Since I'm impatient I was hoping to buy the post ahead of the bike and then just whack it right on, but have zero idea if 150mm is 'good' as I'm new to the specifics.

Any word to the (un)wise?
